TO BE EXPANDED TO REFLECT THE RESULTS OF GLOBAL MALARIA FUNDING

COMMENTARY

Dear Colleagues I have just reconnected with the malaria control community, and I am now more than a little concerned that the opportunity to make really substantial progress in reducing the impact of malaria on affected populations has come and gone. So my question is simply what on earth went wrong? I know that little of my thinking about how the malaria control initiatives should be managed were taken into consideration, let alone actually implemented. But this is water under the bridge. What do the experts whose advice was followed think about the performance and why progress has missed target by so much? Peter Burgess @truevaluemetric
