NOT ALWAYS THE 'BIG MAN AT THE TOP' In fact quite often a successful 'BIG MAN AT THE TOP' is in fact a follower and not a leader. By understanding the 'followers' the leader is in fact then able to lead without having to change very much. This works very well in stable times, but not during periods of any form of siruption.
