Commentary
This short YouTube video desribes something about Health Information Management. It has a US focus. Sadly ... it never mentions anything about costs and the impact on health of the procedures. Until the matter of cost effectiveness in health is part of the management information and part of the discussion, the health industry is going to remain totally unconstrained in cost effectiveness.

Sadly, this is exactly what some parts of the health industry want ... but not all by any means. The people in health that want more and more money profit have a lot of money and power, and it will take concerted action to change the trajectory of health care in the USA.

I would very much like to have a seminar or workshop with these people to talk about the cost component of the health sector. My impression is that the whole area of cost is ignored, and completely misunderstood. Until cost is part of the dialog the health sector will continue to be out of control and a chronic drag on the performance of the US economy.
