partnerships and creating solutions The International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation working with leading multinational companies on the responsible business agenda. We work to the ethos of 'redefining growth to help build a sustainable world.' Since our inception in 1990 by our late founding CEO Robert Davies and HRH The Prince of Wales, we have led the field in promoting the role of business leadership in corporate responsibility and development. IBLF is supported by a network of over 85 companies from Europe, America, Asia and the Middle East and more than 200 affiliated organisations worldwide. Headquartered in London, we also have active regional offices in Moscow, Mumbai and Beijing. Our list of Corporate Partners can be found here. IBLF identifies critical emerging issues around growth and corporate responsibility, persuading leaders to inspire and drive change throughout their organisations and networks. To explore a selection of our programmes and areas of work, click here. You can watch our Expert Insight series of video interviews here. We position business as a lead partner in sustainable development issues, helping the private sector work with government, global agencies and civil society in order to provide a stable environment in which to operate and grow. Our activities include: - Engaging business leaders and their companies in core issues such as business standards, environment, inclusive business models and human capital - Convening global and local events spanning CEO forums, leaderships dialogues, high-level roundtables and practitioner workshops - Providing a neutral, ‘safe space’ for companies, governments and organisations to exchange viewpoints constructively and share best practice - Facilitating cross-sector partnerships and peer group networks that bring collaborative inputs and local expertise to initiatives Over the past two decades, IBLF has become widely respected for its neutrality, professionalism, thought leadership and reach. We define and promote issues that might not yet be in the public eye, anticipating social and reputational issues and challenging perceptions. IBLF is led by its CEO Clare Melford and a dynamic, diverse team with expertise across industry sectors and functions. We are governed by a Board of Trustees comprising top-level executives and providing international balance and perspective. OUR FOCUS The sustainability of companies in indelibly coupled to the sustainability of the societies in which they operate. IBLF believes that traditional growth will soon be hampered as we run into limitations in natural resource, societal stability and human capacity. Forward looking companies need to find new ways of doing business and redefine growth. IBLF considers three approaches in this arena: Smart Growth - Doing more with less Inclusive Growth - Some (the developing world) access more Responsible Growth - Some (the developed world) use differently Underpinning all our programmes are the concepts of Leadership, Collaboration and Innovation. Click here to read more about our existing work in these areas. GLOBAL IMPACT IBLF's network includes companies that are not only leaders in their sectors, but also often in the fields of social and environmental accountability, stakeholder consultation and community investment. We work with a range of partners, including government bodies and inter-governmental organisations such as the UN and the World Bank, NGOs and the public sector to create an ‘enabling environment’ in which business can have a positive impact on society. Additionally, we hold a long-term relationship with regional affiliates and networks across the world.
