COMMENTARY
At the time this video was filmed, I was with friends at the NE corner of Broadway and 43rd Street ... similar location amd experience. My conversations with the police during the previous two days had been friendly most of the time, but it seemed that the mood changed when 'orders' had to be followed. This is the nature of 'uniformed' services, and extremely counter-productive when the issue is about ideas and performance that has absolutely zero to do with police and physical terrorism. It would be great if the authorities would do some thinking ... but maybe that is too much to expect!

Occupy Wall Street in Times Square NYC October 15, 2011 - filmed by Andrea. Video from the SW corner of Broadway and 43rd Street. The police would not let us walk north on Broadway. 43rd Street was barricaded. The only way to exit was 42nd Street through a police gate. I asked a police officer how long the protest in Times Square would last. He answered, 'I have no idea.'
