I was introduced to this group through the Sustainable Leadership Forum of Fairleigh Dickinson University. I have attended a number of their events over the past two years.

All of the organizations that have 'Green Economy' as part of their agenda get a modest amount of traction, but remain essentially at the margin of society and the economy. In my view the reason for this is that busy people cannot understand easily what the Green Economy is all about, and how this impacts their daily lives. As an accountant, the tool that is missing is the accounting or the metrics that serve to explain in a very simple way what 'Green' is all about.

And of course this is what TrueValueMetrics is all about.

A legitimate 'Green Business' will have a money profit performance that can be measured using the standard money profit GAAP system of accounting, and at the same time will have a valuadd that can be measured using the concepts of TrueValueMetrics. The 'Green Economy' will get traction when society uses Value Accountancy as much as it uses Money Profit Accountancy ... when both organizations and communities use Value Accounting.
