I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London in the early 1960s. I was employed by KPMG (Barents Group) in the mid 1990s. During 1995 I worked on an assignment in Kazakhstan and was pulled off this assignment well before its completion for some reason which has never been fully explained. Fast forward to now and Putin's invasion of Ukraine it all now becomes much clearer. My approach to Government Financial Management was incompatible with the sloppiness that allowed post-Soviet oligarchy to thrive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May we talk about this?
