A KEY STEP BETWEEN IDEA AND IMPLEMENTATION AT SCALE
PUTTING IDEAS INTO PRACTICE ... IDEAS BECOME INITIATIVES ... AND THEN GRADUATE FROM THERE. Most ideas do not become initiatives ... most initiatives have a short life before they fail. There are huge number of INITIATIVES, but many do not have durable impact. There are many reasons for this. Among the reasons are inexperience, inadequate knowledge of the issues and problems, and not enough funding. Many good ideas fail. Few initiatives eventually become major organizations. Some of the problems and ineffectiveness would be avoided if there were better metrics and an efficient knowledge base.
