4. Scott Duncan
Duncan, 32, owes his net worth of $5.5 billion to the fortune he inherited from his father, Dan Duncan, who founded pipeline firm Enterprise Products Partners. Its operations include 51,000 miles of natural gas, NGL crude oil, refined products and petrochemical pipelines, and controls $43 billion in assets.

6. Yang Huiyan
A 2003 graduate of Ohio State University, Yang, 34, is the majority shareholder of Country Garden Holdings, a property development company in China founded by her father. She is Asia's richest woman with a fortune estimated at $5.1 billion, according to Wealth-X.

7. Alejandro Santo Domingo Dávila
Educated at Harvard, Dávila is one of the heirs to Columbia's Bavaria brewery, which was sold to SABMiller for a 15% stake in the company. That holding is part of the family's Santo Domingo Group. In addition to serving on various boards, he is a Managing Director at Quadrant Capital Advisors, Inc., and a member of the board of trustees of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Saverin emigrated with his wealthy family to Miami in 1993 and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard, where he met Mark Zuckerberg and co-founded Facebook. In 2009, Saverin moved to Singapore and subsequently renounced his U.S. citizenship, allegedly to shield himself from U.S. capital gains taxes after the Facebook IPO.
