GOOD POLICING IS VITAL TO PUBLIC SAFETY
Some police departments in the United States have improved immensely over the past several decades. This includes NYPD which has become one of the best police forces (and most expensive) in the world. But changes are needed. Most notably the police are required to engage in all sorts of social support activities for which they are not suited. This is not fair to the police and not right for society.
There are many police departments in the USA which are staffed from top to bottom with bad actors. They have existed for a very long time, and need to be identified and held accountable by society through the application of good law.
