Whether or not the SDGs should be used to anchor the 'value' needs to be questioned, but the basic flow of values is an important concept that should be embraced.
When we assume value destruction is zero within society and within nature, it is easy to have positive valueadd simply from economic activity.
The reality is that in the past 50 years there has been massive value destruction in society and for the environment.
