MULTI-SECTOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
This diagram was prepared to show the complication of a typical community, and the reason why so many development initiatives made little progress, no matter how well intentioned.
During the 1980s and 90s I carried out many monitoring and evaluation (M&E) assignments for the World Bank and UN. Most of the projects had disbursed the money, but had very little sustainable development impact to show for it. Mostly this was because there were multiple issues that needed to be addressed in the society.
