September 2012 ... Request to work on the exposure draft of the latest Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines

Burgess COMMENTARY

Peter Burgess

Dear Linked In Friends,

There are just a few days left to help define the future of corporate sustainability reporting, by providing feedback on the Exposure Draft of G4 before 25 September 2012.

The final G4 Guidelines will be shaped by the feedback and proposals GRI receives from you now. You can help define how all types of organizations will report their sustainability performance. Just click here http://goo.gl/v9e1H and get started!

You can comment on the whole draft, or focus your feedback on your main areas of interest.

GRI needs feedback on five main areas of the Sustainability Reporting Guidelines– Boundary, Application Levels, Governance and Remuneration, Supply Chain, and Disclosures on Management Approach. Your feedback on the Exposure Draft will guide the GRI Secretariat, Working Groups, and governance bodies to finalize the development of G4.

You can provide feedback on the G4 Exposure Draft following a simple process:

  1. 1. Register on the GRI Consultation Platform http://goo.gl/v9e1H
  2. 2. Download and read the G4 Exposure Draft
  3. 3. Provide comments before 25 September

The additional Public Comment Period for G4 Thematic Revisions is also now open, and you can provide feedback on new proposals for reporting guidance on greenhouse gas emissions and anti-corruption before 12 November.

Many thanks in advance!
