Please find enclosed this company’s proposal for performing the scope of work specified in your Request for Proposals (RFP) Solar Photovoltaic Generating System (Solar Farm). We have both formatted and organized this letter per the numeration system requested in the RFP. Submitted herewith are one original, three printed copies and one PDF copy on a CD of this letter. Better World Building Technology LLC (BWBT) is the leader of the team submitting this proposal, which also includes Integrated Green Technologies, Inc. (IGT) and Solar Home NJ. The principals of each of these entities have built their professional lives on furthering the implementation of green technologies. ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Toni Lynch, BWBT’s Chief Operating Officer, has been publically championing energy-efficiency in building construction and the practical use of renewable energy sources in the Pocono-Northampton and Monroe County areas, since the mid-1970’s. He promoted educational opportunities for tradespeople in these fields and the incorporation of these technologies into public buildings. His years of involvement with insulated concrete construction, geothermal heating and cooling, and solar energy have made him an accepted authority on PV. Cinium Financial Services retains Lynch as its Solar Team Risk Management Analyst. IGT’s Peter Ypsilantis is a degreed engineer, who gave up renovating 5th Avenue penthouses to become part of the green movement. In the last several years, he has conducted seminars in green construction from which architects and related professionals can obtain needed continuing education credits; he uses a slide show of the several affordable housing projects he has built with insulated concrete forms as case studies in state-of-the art design of structures, mechanical systems and renewable energy sources. In the past 24 months, he designed PV systems totaling 780 kW DC. BETTER WORLD BUILDING TECHNOLOGY LLC P.O. IGT’s Brad Kennedy, upon graduating from Lafayette College, commenced a 39-year career that, from the beginning, centered on energy efficiency. By the early ‘80’s, his reputation was such that the NJDOE tapped him as a juror for its annual Residential Design Competition; in the mid-80’s he built a subdivision of 12 solar homes and in the mid-90’s a geo-thermal subdivision as JCP&L’s poster boy. In the last 24 months, he administered and oversaw over $5 MM of solar improvements for the NJHMFA. Solar Home NJ’s Mark Landgrebe is a man of passion. Whether it’s his commitment to the alternative energy industry or to his feeding the hungry with The HomelessBus.org, which he founded, he acts on his passions. In actuality, these passions are inseparable because he donates a portion of the revenue from each job to his non-profit organization. |
