The Global Institute of Sustainability Management GISM is an internationally active initiative with a clear focus on sustainability and « green economy ». GISM has been established as an independent, non-profit, non-governmental platform committed to create collaborative networks related to the “green economy”.

Mission Statement

Our belief is that sustainability enhances the stability and self-reliance of economies and societies throughout the regions in the world. The Global Institute of Sustainability Management (GISM) is therefore striving for excellence in sustainability management.

In all our activities we team up with leading global knowledge and networking partners. By doing so, it is ensured that the most knowledgeable, relevant experts in the various fields of sustainability, cleantech, and “green economy” are actively involved to the benefit of all GISM stakeholders.

The Global Institute of Sustainability Management (GISM) is committed with its educational programs to encourage governmental institutions at the national, regional, and municipal level around the globe to undertake (in cooperation with other stakeholders) ambitious sustainability initiatives.

The various GISM programs enable its participants …

• to gain profound insights from global sustainability leaders on how they are managing transformation processes towards a sustainable economy and society,
• to build international collaborations and partnerships with leading sustainability actors and organizations,
• to understand how to cooperate with various stakeholders involved in their own sustainability projects,
• to increase the impact of their own sustainability agenda,
• to measure the performance of their specific sustainability initiatives and projects with the use of proven measurement tools.

In its customized programs, GISM acts as your competent partner, who enables you to establish comprehensive and outstanding training programs with lean and efficient internal structures. GISM’s services range from problem analysis, goal definition, design and execution, to evaluation and quality control in the various fields of sustainability, cleantech, and “green economy” . e-Learning

Technology-enabled learning helps organizations to expand their sustainability-related training and educational activities to more employees and other stakeholders in more places at flexible times.

GISM works with you to conceptualize and implement e-Learning programs to increase the impact and the efficiency of your educational efforts in the various fields of sustainability and “green economy”.

Advisory Services

We actively support governmental institutions at the national, regional, and municipal level to find the best possible consultants and experts with respect of the specific tasks on the various sustainability initiatives, and projects.

More specifically, we help you to compose project groups with the required experts with the objective to be able

• to initiate your own sustainability agenda and to successfully start specific sustainability initiatives and projects,
• to evaluate your existing sustainability projects and activities with proven state-of-the-art assessment and audit tools,
• to significantly increase the impact of your own sustainability agenda and projects.
