Geodynamics LimitedSenior Reservoir Engineer - Geothermal Simulation Geodynamics Limited June 2008 – November 2010 (2 years 6 months)Brisbane, Australia A key responsibility was the research and development of a rapid-execution scalable model of the proposed Enhanced Geothermal System (EGS) to estimate the key thermo-hydraulic processes and economic rate of return over 20 years. The model was developed for data interpretation, feasibility and economic optimization. Rather unique to the project are the high-temperature high-pressure conditions, the deep well bores (4-5 km), and the granite fracture networks enhanced by hydraulic stimulation. A major focus was the analysis of data provided by hydraulic stimulation and transient well testing with flow, pressure, circulation, and tracers. The company’s EGS project is of international significance. Market cap. was about $173 million in 2010. Senior Groundwater Modeller - Coal Mine Simulation Matrixplus February 2007 – February 2008 (1 year 1 month)Brisbane, Australia Key responsibilities were the development of models for two major coal mining interests in the Bowen Basin, Queensland. The Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserve in Australia. The models involved detailed time-dependent representations of long-wall mining and associated impacts on water levels, pressures and dewatering rates. Hydrogeologic IncContract Groundwater Modeller - Florida Wetland Simulation Hydrogeologic Inc 2006 – 2006 (less than a year)Reston, Virginia, USA Main responsibilities were collaboration and analysis/cleansing of temporal and spatial data sets for the development of a fully-coupled surface and groundwater flow model of a major region of the Florida wetlands. In this project the regional aquifer interacts with a network of lakes, channels and engineered flow controls.
