Coffee! Though I learned sometime on Saturday night / Sunday morning that the Starbucks on Nassau Street opens 24/7

Wish I was half a century younger! As a first time mentor, this was a learning experience for me ... and I probably learned more about what I need to do to be of value to the student participants next time than they learned from me. An issue for me in and about the tech community is that there is a trend towards a tech silo'd world which in itself is not a bad thing. It becomes problematic when this silo is 'owned' by a community of entrepreneurs or financiers who have zero social/environmental conscience. At the moment tech is getting more and more complicit in a wasteful world that cannot be sustainable because so much of software progress is funded by the advertising model. The conversations with Stephen Wolfram were fascinating. Note his observations about being a 'private company'.
