During my recent time in New York I have worked as an information specialist at Palladium Gym, an intern at Anyclip.com responsible for location and film tracking, and an intern at the PR firm Trylon SMR. I also spent my junior year abroad in Abu Dhabi as a Resident Assistant for NYU’s campus. During the 2 semesters I spent there, I was responsible for the safety and livelihood of 40 freshmen from 32 countries. My acquired comprehension and interest in politics, film, and new media secured me an 8-month internship with the New York State Governor’s Office of Motion Picture and Television Development. As head of their first Social Media Marketing Campaign I created, implemented, and ran their Facebook, Twitter, blog, and website for the duration of my internship, and then trained the staff to carry on the plan. Through my work the office achieved recognition online, promoted to audiences never reached before, and made connections with individuals worldwide. After I left, a fulltime employee was hired to continue the programs I initiated. This work was recognized by multiple startups, and both HireSignals.com and SKROUNGE.com hired me to assist in running their marketing campaigns. My work with social media analysis brought me to the attention of NBCUniversal’s Market Intelligence department. I was initially brought on as an intern researching and choosing tools to analyze data garnered from social media – something this department had never used before. I also took on the role of Market Intelligence Analyst, where I supported the entire company’s advertising sales teams in market data and trend analysis. Through this position I gained experience using Salesforce, Empower Media, Google Analytics, Nielsen Ratings, Lake5 and tools such as Hoovers, Datamonitor, and Kantar Media.
