Like every year, New York 's Pierre Hotel turned into a theatre where fashion and politics met to discuss the (eco-friendly) future of the world.

During the fourth official luncheon, Fashion 4 Development gathered more than fourty first ladies from all over the world (including Madame Ban Soon-Taek and Princess Mette Marit) along with some of the major representatives from the fashion industry. Their mission? Planning a big workshop to discuss the eco-friendly future of the planet of course, the preservation of culture, wellbeing and independece of many communities around the world, and arranging fashion creative strategies in order to make it a guarantee for the present and not only hope for the future.

During the luncheon, BRAC founder and chairperson Sir Fazle Hasan Abed's figures was celebrated, as well as designer Donna Karan's for her commitment for Haiti, Gery Keszler's ( Life Ball/AIDS LIFE CEO), Debbie Levin's ( Environmental Media Association President ) and Caroline Scheufele's (Chopard Co-president and creative director). Reserva's CEO Rony Meisler was nominated League of Gentlemen’s 2014 Poster Gentleman.

The lunch, which was held in conjunction with the 69th UN Assembly, was attended also by F4D Goodwill Ambassador and Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani, Green Carpet Challenge founder Livia Firth, Alek Wek, Stella Jean, Lily Cole, Chris Collins and Alicia Quarles
