As the inaugural executive director of the Shared Value Initiative, Justin is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the Initiative. He works closely with all of the Initiative’s major stakeholders including corporate, civil society, government and academic organizations in order to track and influence the development and capture of shared value research, the shared value idea in practice, and the growing global community of practitioners.

Justin led FSG’s thinking about how to build a shared value field first through the launch of the Shared Value Leadership Summit in 2011, followed by the development of the Shared Value Initiative business plan and partnership development process. These efforts led to the formal launch of the Shared Value Initiative as a 2012 Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action currently supported by 17 leading shared value organizations around the world. Justin is also an experienced public speaker having addressed executive teams, industry organizations, and academic audiences around the world on shared value and the role of the corporation in society.

Justin came to the Executive Director role with over 15 years of experience advising corporations, foundations, nonprofits, and governments on issues of strategy and performance management. He has played a leadership role in FSG’s shared value consulting having worked with Mars, Inc. focused on improving cocoa production in West Africa and rice production from the Mississippi Delta. He has also advised Arauco, a leading Chilean forestry company, and Mercy Corps, a leading international NGO on their shared value strategies.

Justin was in the Peace Corps as a small enterprise development volunteer with the Malian Ministry of Tourism in Gao, Mali and also has extensive private sector consulting experience as a strategy consultant with PwC Consulting and then later IBM Global Business Services. Justin holds an M.B.A. from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and a BA in economics from Washington and Lee University.

In her role as senior program manager, Stacy oversees the underlying frameworks of the Shared Value Initiative’s infrastructure, including annual planning, funder relations, content generation, and program offerings such as the annual Global Shared Value Leadership Summit and executive trainings. Stacy is a career project manager and program administrator, working in a variety of settings to advance idea sets and implement programmatic elements around them.

Prior to joining the Shared Value Initiative, Stacy served as associate director of the Center for Emerging Market Enterprises at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. There, she designed and directed creative programs addressing critical issues in emerging and frontier markets, including executive education, directed research projects, workshops, and custom toolkits, for leading organizations in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Stacy has also worked as business development manager for a private consulting group specializing in the China market and as communications associate for global microfinance network ACCION International. She has a M.A. in Law and Diplomacy, with a focus on NGO management and international migration, from The Fletcher School, and a BA from Boston College.

As Member Services Manager, Katie works directly with the Consulting Affiliate Network to ensure a high quality member experience. Katie manages the membership process, including recruitment and retention, as well as supports the training, knowledge exchanges, and other community and educational opportunities for Affiliate firms.

Prior to joining the Initiative, Katie worked at the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School where she worked directly with Michael Porter to manage the Microeconomics of Competitiveness (MOC) program. As part of her role, she managed the MOC Affiliate Network, a group of more than 100 universities around the world that implement the MOC curriculum and collaborate in the area of competitiveness. Before her time at HBS, Katie worked in education consulting, managing a diverse portfolio of education and organizational development projects throughout Latin America, primarily with ministries of education.

Katie has an MBA in Non-Profit Management and an MA in Sustainable International Development, both from Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management. She also has a BA in Spanish Languages and Literatures and Global Studies from Pacific Lutheran University.

Alicia is a marketing and communications professional skilled in crafting outreach strategies for complex subjects to engage diverse audiences. She comes to FSG with over 10 years of experience building communications plans for companies committed to systemic social and environmental change.

As Communications Manager of the Shared Value Initiative, Alicia leads the Initiative’s strategic communications thinking in order to strengthen the brand and engage global partners in its mission to build a community of leaders who find business opportunities in addressing societal challenges.

Alicia worked as the Marketing Communications Manager at Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships, a nonprofit whose mission is to accelerate energy efficiency as a core strategy to meet energy needs in a carbon-constrained world, where she oversaw a marketing team to provide strategic direction, campaign and message development, content creation, media outreach, website support, digital marketing, and event marketing targeted to a wide range of audiences. Previously, she worked as an Investor Relations Associate at Econergy, an international developer of clean power projects in North and South America. She has a BA in Political Science from Bates College.


Meghan Ennes, Community Coordinator Meghan.Ennes@sharedvalue.org | +1 617.502.6147 Meghan represents the voice of the online community on sharedvalue.org and the Initiative’s social media channels. She is focused on fostering the growth of the community by posting content and improving overall web presence. She works day-to-day on the Initiative's web and communications activities and helps formulate overall digital strategy. Prior to her role with the Initiative, Meghan worked for several years as the editorial coordinator for Harvard Business Review, where she familiarized herself with business content and saw Porter and Kramer’s “Creating Shared Value” article come to fruition in 2011. At HBR, she supported and contributed to the web and magazine editorial teams, developing management-related content for the website as well as managing some of its more technical aspects and social media efforts. Meghan attended College of the Holy Cross, where she studied abroad at Oxford University. She has a BA in English and Art History.

As the program coordinator at the Shared Value Initiative, Georgie researches and writes case studies that explore achievements in the Initiative partner community and develops original content for newsletters and sharedvalue.org. Georgie is also involved in organizing the annual Shared Value Leadership Summit, which brings together some of the most innovative public- and private-sector leaders that are driving social change through business.

Prior to her role with the Shared Value Initiative, Georgie was a writer at Institutional Investor magazine in New York, where she largely covered political, economic, and financial developments across emerging markets as well as trends in impact investing. She also created extensive databases for the world’s largest hedge funds and fund of funds. Through conversations with the industry’s leading executives, she learned firsthand how the global financial community can mobilize capital and allocate investments to effect social change and drive economic development worldwide.

Georgie has a BA in Global Studies (concentration in international economic policy) and Economics at Colby College.

Stephanie supports the executive director of the Shared Value Initiative and provides additional support to the Initiative as part of the Boston Operations team. Her responsibilities include assisting with event logistics, scheduling meetings, calendar management, travel coordination, database management, business development support, and other administrative duties. Stephanie joined the Initiative after working as an administrative assistant in the private sector. She has a BA in Chemistry from Mount Holyoke College.

Sitar Mody is Special Advisor to the INGO Shared Value Working Group. The Group emerged in 2015 with a pre-competitive focus among 15 international NGOs working towards issue-based cross-sector alliances on shared value. The 2016 agenda for the Group puts theory into action.

Building effective cross-sector partnerships has been the emphasis of Sitar's career. Prior to joining the Initiative, she led corporate partnerships programs at Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) and directed the engagement programs team at Lucid, a building software start-up. At EDF, she was a founding team member of EDF Climate Corps, a unique fellowship program in which MBAs developed actionable business plans for energy management in corporations. She also led the Building Energy Initiative in Chicago, which was a collaboration between the City of Chicago and other NGO partners to accelerate the adoption of advanced energy management practices, such as demand response, in the multi-tenant commercial real estate sector. At Lucid, Sitar launched Connected Cities, a CGI Commitment to Action which offered both the technology and adoption best practices for building optimization in municipal facilities.

Sitar brings a strong background in facilitation, strategy, and partnership development to the Initiative. She is passionate about social change, collaboration, organization development, leadership, equity and justice. Sitar holds a B.A. in Political Economy from the University of California at Berkeley.
