Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) told Stephen Colbert on 'The Late Show' last night that she thinks America is very much underestimating Donald Trump.

'[Trump] is one dangerous man and we need to take him really seriously,' Warren told Colbert.

Elizabeth Warren is a Democratic superdelegate and is speaking on behalf of Hillary Clinton at the Democratic National Convention Monday.

'Can you give some indication of what you’re going to say so we can start writing the jokes now?' Colbert asked. '‘Cause you know I’m going to make fun of what you say,' he added.

“Donald Trump is a bad guy,” Warren told Colbert, matter-of-factly.

“You’ve said that before,” Colbert reminded her, reading aloud a few of her tweets

Seriously, I could do this all day, @realDonaldTrump… http://for.tn/29MEbyY

'Are you a bully? Are you stooping to his level?' Colbert asked the Massachusetts senator, who proceeded to mock the Republican nominee further.

'Oh, that poor little billionaire. Did I hurt his feelings by talking about his policies that he doesn’t have? I mean, come on give me a break here. This is a guy who just went on national television and said basically to all of America, be afraid of each other. And you listen to a speech like that and I don’t know anybody left in America who isn’t afraid of Donald Trump,' Warren noted.

'People have legitimate feelings,' Colbert told her. 'How are the Democrats addressing this ... He says ‘I’ll fight for you, I’ll win for you… What is the message going to be next week at the DNC?” he asked.

“I think what the Democrats are going to talk about is how we’re stronger together. What Donald Trump says is ‘turn on each other.’ And the consequence of that one is, when you turn on each other, the same guys who rigged the system get to stay in power,' Warren explained.

Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!'
