Ms. Williams is a Senior Advisor to GCM Grosvenor with a focus on diversity and corporate social responsibility. Ms. Williams joined GCM Grosvenor in 2014 and served as President of GCM Grosvenor Private Markets until June of 2015, where she was a member of its Management Committee and also a member of its Investment Committee. Prior to joining GCM Grosvenor, Ms. Williams was a Managing Director and the Group Head of the Customized Fund Investment Group of Credit Suisse Group AG from 2000 to 2014. Ms. Williams joined Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (acquired by Credit Suisse in 2000) as a Director of the Customized Fund Investment Group. She was with The Prudential Insurance Company of America from 1993 to 2000. She was an Executive Director with Prudential’s private equity group, where she was a founder of the Customized Fund Investment Group in 1999. Prior to joining Prudential, Ms. Williams was an associate with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, where she specialized in global project finance. She graduated magna cum laude from Union College in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Mathematics and received her Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law in 1989. She is a member of the New York Bar. Ms. Williams was appointed in 2015 to the Board of Directors of The Greenbrier Companies (GBX). Ms. Williams has served as a mentor to fellows of the Robert Toigo Foundation since 2006 and was the 2010 recipient of its Leading by Example award and joined its board in 2011. She was elected to the YWCA Academy of Women Leaders in 2007 and is the founding board chair of the Private Equity Women Investor Network (PEWIN). In addition, she is chair of the LP Advisory Board for the Sponsors for Educational Opportunity Program and received the SEO Leadership Award in 2013. She also serves on the advisory board of the Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM) and is the 2013 AAAIM Trailblazer Award Recipient. Ms. Williams is a member of the Metro Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization, Senior Advisor to the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) and a member of the Board of Trustees of Union College where she is a member of the Executive Committee, Investment Committee, Audit Committee and also chairs the Finance Committee. Ms. Williams is a board member of the Nantucket Historical Association, Springboard Enterprises and the Board of Commissioners of the Smithsonian American Art Museum. She is a member of the New York Bar. Ms. Williams was recognized by the New York Chapter of the National Organization for Women in 2012 with its Women of Power and Influence Award. She was also named in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 as one of The Most Powerful Women in Finance by American Banker Magazine.

Jeff, a Director and Partner of the firm, develops portfolio advice and handles day-to-day client-related operations for several high net worth individuals and non-profit clients. Jeff is a member of the firm’s Impact Investing Committee. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Society Boston. Jeff is a faculty member for the Confluence Philanthropy Next Gen Fellowship Program, a learning program for trustees and individual donors seeking to align their values with the management of their assets. He is also a member of the investment committee for the Fair Food Fund, which provides financing and business assistance to good food enterprises that connect small and mid-size farms with consumers hungry for local, sustainably grown food.
Jeff grew up in Albany, NY and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Union College. At Union, Jeff was a Liberty League All-Academic Team performer as a member of the football team, as well as a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon Economic Honor Society. Ken is a Member at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co, LP, helping assess and improve the companies in which KKR invests by engaging stakeholders & leveraging geopolitical & public policy trends. Mr. Mehlman also oversees the firm’s global external affairs, including corporate marketing, regulatory affairs & public policy, and communications. Ken leads KKR’s responsible investment efforts that seek to create shared value for KKR investors and other stakeholders. This includes a partnership with the Environmental Defense Fund that now includes more than 27 KKR portfolio companies and has achieved $1.2 billion in financial impact; reduced environmental impact (2.3 million fewer metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions, 6.3 million tons less waste and 27 million cubic meters reduced water use since 2008); the hiring of more than 30,000 veterans in KKR portfolio companies; and an employee wellness collaboration with the American Heart Association.
Mr. Mehlman spent a dozen years in national politics and government service, including as 62nd Chairman of the Republican National Committee and Campaign Manager of President Bush's 2004 re-election campaign, the only Republican presidential campaign in 25 years to win the popular vote. Michael Barone, author of the Almanac of American Politics, compared Mehlman’s success to Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton’s, particularly in their revolutionary approaches to identifying new customers and constituents. Before joining KKR, Ken was a Partner at the global law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. Mr. Mehlman also served in high level positions in Congress and the White House.
Mr. Mehlman, who currently lives in New York City, graduated with a B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College and holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Mr. Mehlman is Chairman of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Policy Advisory Board and also chairs the American Investment Council, the association representing the private equity industry. He is a trustee of Mt. Sinai Hospital of New York, Franklin & Marshall College, Teach for America, and Sponsors of Educational Opportunity (SEO). Mehlman is also co-chairman of the American Enterprise Institute’s National Council and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Emily Chasan edits the sustainable finance newsletter at Bloomberg Brief. She covers responsible investing, corporate sustainability, and corporate governance. She was previously a senior editor at The Wall Street Journal's CFO Journal, and a senior correspondent at Reuters where she covered accounting, law, hedge funds, manufacturing, and the U.S. stock market. She led the wire service's team of bankruptcy reporters during the financial crisis from 2008 to 2010. Emily started her career as an intern in The Wall Street Journal's Dallas bureau. She graduated from Tufts University cum laude with a degree in Economics and International Relations.

Jesse Simmons is a Senior Investment Analyst at Align Impact. He focuses on due diligence of investment opportunities in private markets, including funds, direct deals, and alternative structures. Jesse also manages the development of landscape analyses of investment opportunities across a range of social and environmental sectors, as well as the graduate intern and student consulting programs.
Jesse began his career at the World Bank, where he evaluated projects across the Sub-Saharan Africa portfolio. He has worked at Dalberg Global Development Advisors, a mission-driven consulting firm working to bring innovation to international development, and as a consultant to Root Capital, a pioneering impact investment fund focused on smallholder agricultural finance. Jesse earned a Master of International Business from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, where he focused on International Business, Impact Evaluation, and Finance.

Mr. Vipul Bhagat, Global Client Leader - Corporate Coverage, is responsible for working with IFC’s strategic clients. He is an experienced practitioner of Public-Private Partnerships in infrastructure (based in Washington, DC) and is developing IFC’s approach to working with Cities. He has relocated after living in Asia for 11 years, most recently as Regional Head for PPP Advisory Services in South Asia, (based in India) where he successfully launched and grew significantly the business advising Governments in the region on PPPs in infrastructure and social sectors and facilitating investment flows for projects.
Mr. Bhagat has been engaged in extensive operational work in infrastructure portfolio, advisory activities, financial sector investments, private sector investment banking, consulting and finance operations. Previously, he was also Country Manager for the Philippines (based in Manila) and Thailand. Mr. Bhagat has worked in Asia (where he also lived in Hong Kong), Middle East and North Africa regions investing primarily in financial institutions.
He holds a masters degree in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree from the American University, Washington, D.C. He is a designated Chartered Financial Analyst, and a Certified Public Accountant.
