About Amazon

Burgess COMMENTARY
As long as stock markets respond more to profit performance than anything else, and do not take into consideration social and environmental impact, this will be the result. I argue that change won't happen until there are effective metrics ... numbering ... for social impact and environmental impact. More and more people are talking about these matters, but the numbering has not yet emerged. It would help to have a payroll profile of the Amazon organization, also a profile of their energy consumption and their main material flows. It would also help to have a good understanding for the supply chains (inputs) into the Amazon organization and the post use impacts of the company's activities. It is not easy to have simple numbers and a clear and relatively complete understanding of a company's performance.

The results demonstrate very clearly that the company's board (https://lnkd.in/eizKRVt) isn't (anymore?) part of the company's circle of accountability when it comes to key social and environmental issues & should be replaced ASAP. In 2019 board members that don't understand the seriousness of these issues shouldn't be governing not just Amazon, but any company. #Amazon #climatecrisis #climatechange No alt text provided for this image Save this article for later Amazon Investors Reject Proposals on Climate Change and Facial Recognition nytimes.com 1 1 Reaction on Raz Godelnik’s post
