Camden Development Project
The Alliance Partnership in association with Lehr Jackson Assoc. noted developer of innovative iconic venues plans to build a resilient, sustainable, zero-carbon food production facility on a site in Camden NJ. The site will essentially be an eco campus containing an economic engine stressing green biotechnology and 21st Century jobs development and technical training. It is our intention to design an esthetically exciting facility and community that will include multicultural and generational housing, entertainment, dining, and retail space. It will also be an eco-tourism venue. Our intention is for it to become a national demonstration project and the crown jewel for Camden's emergence into the new millennia.
The project named: (working title) 'Radius.' will proceed in two phases. First the economic engine. The intention is to make the community economically independent with it's own employment and tax base. It will be a, Live here, work here, eat here, play here, model. A resilient community that will be water, food, energy and economically independent.
The reason for the failure of inner cities has been the death of the old smokestack industries for without such an engine there is insufficient economic resources to support the lively hood of the residence. Therefore employment and family wealth building will be one of our first objectives.

Catherine - a short update
Met with James Lex, CEO of Camden County Improvement Authority. I spoke with Lehr Jackson before we left and he specified the site he wanted. We found two (including Lehr's) that are actually adjacent and from our perspective - ideal. The good news is the Knox site (see below is a brownfield ... bad for some people but good for us as we do not plant below the grade. AND, we have excellent bioremediation resources. Also, it seems the municipality owns and controls the site. It is on the water.
Also, Lehr is creating a first approximation rendering of our vision and we'll have that next Thursday at The Union League ... btw, excellent personal chemistry with James Lex least at this point, it is perfect for our needs. (20+ acres) Lex offered 'eminent domain, ' as a possible solution to the adjacent bridge rigging docks (another similar size site. Theoretically and this very early stage - so far so good. We now have a strong connection to Kris Kulluri, Director of Coopers Ferry - his friend and attorney actually. We intend to meet with them prior to the Union League on the 26th as planned. This is shaping up ... still way too early but as noted, '... so far,!'
