Something about the Independent Media Institute (IMC) .... October 2019

You have been a loyal supporter of the Independent Media Institute, and I am following up to make the case for the new strategic focus of IMI. You know that the corporate media fails our democracy in so many ways. And you know there is a right-wing machine producing lies and propaganda 24-7 that has a terrible grip on too many minds.
In a nutshell: We’ve set up a much bigger-impact model to meet the huge changes in the online media landscape: a think tank of writers and media makers whose work we edit, produce, and syndicate to appear simultaneously in many publications in the US and globally, on social media, and through huge email lists.
Public intellectuals and journalists have a much stronger platform to expand the reach and impact of their work with IMI. Our fellows are some of the most talented and high-impact out there.
I’m happy about the work we’ve done so far, and have big plans to expand the number of syndication partners, and roster of writers—covering the big issues of the day.
Can I count on you to support IMI in a big way this year? I need the vote of confidence and support from the few who understand the need for quality independent media to combat the far-right/corporate media alliance.
