LUNCH & LEARN: Asset Allocation, Portfolio Analysis and Cryproassets @ Baruch College on 11/5
Matthew LePere via auth.ccsend.com 10:19 AM (18 minutes ago) to me The New York Confucius Institute for Global Finance at Baruch College presents Asset Allocation, Portfolio Analysis and Cryptoassets Tuesday, November 5th from 12:45 – 2:15 pm Baruch College, 151 E. 25th Street, Room 750 Complimentary registrationis required to attend. About the Program Bitcoin has been one of the best performing asset of the year. As an investable asset that now has over a ten year track record, there’s no longer any rejection of the asset as a Ponzi scheme or comparison to the Tulip craze of the past. However, even with its stellar performance, investors are challenged on how to effectively position it into their own investment portfolios. The reality is that with any portfolio construction, the time tested methods of Modern Portfolio Theory, proper asset allocation and risk/reward analysis must be considered for any investor, regardless of the assets considered. Jack Tatar, who has spent three decades in financial services, coauthored “Cryptoassets: The Innovative Investor’s Guide to Bitcoin and Beyond” by considering cryptoassets such as bitcoin as investment vehicles in the context of these portfolio analysis methods. In this session, Jack revisits his views expressed in the book that bitcoin and other cryptoassets should be considered as alternative assets in one’s investment portfolio. Additionally, he discusses how to effectively evaluate them in the context of these methods in order to help investors reach their financial goals. Jack will also discuss his latest research work in the area of asset allocation as he revisits the traditional 60/40 stock/bond portfolio with his own “Innovative Investor Asset Allocation” that can work for any level of investor. It’s a discussion that both crypto enthusiasts and typical investors will find value in. About the Speaker Jack Tatar is a managing partner at Doyle Capital Management, LLC. Jack is also known for being the founder and CEO of GEM Research Solutions. Jack Tatar is also a former writer for The Balance covering investing and particularly bitcoin. He's written extensively on retirement and about his experience seeking a retirement-based investment in bitcoin. In addition, Jack Tatar publicated and received awards for Author of one of the first books written about Bitcoin, 'What's the Deal with Bitcoins?' and Author of 'Retire Safely' and 'Having the Talk: Family Guide to Discussing Later Life Issues' |
