ESG is not enough
What exactly is sustainable investing? Truly sustainable investing is much more than improving ESG and maintaining profit performance and increase stock valuation. In reality, sustainable investment requires decent economic profit while having production (including supply chain) and products that treat people well and do little damage to the environment. It also requires that companies pay an adequate amount of tax (local and national) so that governments have the resources to invest in all the things that are needed by a modern civilized society. Most ESG analysis misses most of this! #TVM
