Launch U.Academy Otto Scharmer scharmer@mit.edu via presencing.ccsend.com 7:56 AM (1 hour ago) to me

Dear Peter,

Last week, I shared with you the launch of the GAIA initiative. GAIA has since activated a global community with more than 10,000 registered members.

Today, I'm writing you with the exciting announcement that we are launching the U.Academy this week. The U.Academy will complement our free online offerings (e.g., GAIA, u.lab) with a second pillar. This new offering focuses on high-end, online capacity-building modules, designed for professionals from across all sectors. Born from a long-held intention, we feel that this is the right timing.

The purpose of the U.Academy is twofold:
  1. 1) to better serve the capacity-building needs of professionals and their institutions in order to lead transformational change in times of profound disruption, and
  2. 2) to generate revenues to cross-fund our various free online offerings such as GAIA, u.lab 1x, u.lab 2x, etc.
The U.Academy offers focused modules that help leaders, change-makers, teams, and organizations initiate and sustain transformational change based on Theory U and Presencing practices and frameworks.

All programs featured on the U.Academy are digital offerings, and provide in-depth, targeted trainings:

AWARENESS PRACTICES IN LEADERSHIP

Awareness Practice in Leadership provides a 3-week online journey focused on training our 'muscle of awareness', deepening our ability to pay attention to our attention, and embodying a leadership that is grounded, while being able to hold and expand the horizontal connection.

DIGITAL LEADERSHIP:

ACTIVATING AND HOLDING TRANSFORMATIVE CHANGE ONLINE

Whether you are an executive, a manager, an educator, or a movement maker, the capacity to blend digital technologies with state-of-the-art systems thinking and awareness-based leadership tools is at the heart of most big leadership challenges that companies, governments, international institutions, and institutions of education are facing today. Faculty: Alison McCallum, Angela Baldini, Antoinette Klatzky, Arawana Hayashi, Manish Srivastava, Julie Arts, Marian Goodman, Martin Kalungu-Banda, Otto Scharmer Read more here

SOCIAL PRESENCING THEATER: THE ART OF MAKING A TRUE MOVE

A 'true move' is an action that arises from openness - a space in which our body, mind and environment are synchronized and not at war with one another.

PRESENCING FOUNDATION PROGRAM: LEADING IN TIMES OF DISRUPTION

Our Core Presencing Faculty will be hosting the Foundation Program online (a deep dive into Theory U), for a dedicated cohort to go through an intensive U process in real time together.
