(Alex Edelman-Pool/Getty Images) By Sandy Fitzgerald | Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:51 PM Sen. Lindsey Graham warned Democrats Thursday that once the Senate gets the House's impeachment article against former President Donald Trump, 'we will focus on them exclusively' and will not be able to work on President Joe Biden's agenda 'We are not going to do two things at once,' the South Carolina Republican said on Fox News' 'America Reports.' 'We are not going to enact the Biden agenda in the morning and impeach President Trump in the afternoon.' Graham said he hopes that any proceedings will go quickly and that he looks forward to arguing that the former president's second impeachment is unconstitutional. 'I'm hoping a Democrat or two will believe that impeaching a president out of office is bad for the presidency, bad for the country as a whole,' said Graham. He also said he doesn't think Trump's team will need any witnesses to defend against the impeachment article, which alleges the president incited the violent attacks on the Capitol on Jan. 6. 'The people who defiled the Capitol made a choice to do so should be held accountable,' said Graham. 'The question that needs to be asked of Speaker (Nancy) Pelosi, regardless of the reason people came to the Capitol, how could an unarmed mob, 20 years after 9/11, occupy the House and the Senate? To me, that needs to be talked about a lot.' He also slammed accusations being made by Democrats that some Republicans gave tours in the days before the riot and showed them targets, and said if he was Rep. Lauren Bobert, R-Colo., he would sue Tennessee Democrat Rep. Steve Cohen for his accusations. 'I can't think of the worse things to say about a fellow American, that they were in on the effort to defile the capitol,' said Graham. 'I would never say that unless I had really rock-solid proof.' Graham also spoke out about Amazon's offer to help Biden with the coronavirus immunization effort, claiming that the announcement was held off because of political reasons.
