Democratic Strategy Institute ... using Liz Cheney to raise money for their organization
</div> <!-- <hr> <a href= target = _blank > Original article: </a> --> <hr> Burgess COMMENTARY<br> In my view there is one big reason that Hilary Clinton lost the 2016 Presidential Election, one that does not appear to be widely recognised. It is that the Democratic Party is woefully unprepared to get candidates elected. I am not a long time political operative, but I have spent many decades working in 'management' where good management got the desired results. I did some canvassing for the Hilary Clinton campaign in Pennsylvania back in 2016 and was appalled at the inaccuracy of the materials we were supplied with. I had not done hands on campaigning before, so had nothing to compare this material with ... but in absolute terms it was awful. No wonder that the managers of her campaign were poorly informed about the state of the campaign. <br> Trump won in 2016 ... and then lost in 2020, but not by much, and the Republicans (Trumpists) are doing a lot to make sure that this result is reversed down-ballot in 2022 and at all levels in 2024. Democrats need to be alert to this, and get organized so as to be effective.
