INC. THIS MORNING

What would Chad do?

Good morning,

You know Chad. In the world of Internet slang, the name “Chad” has become synonymous with white male entitlement--that 30-something white guy who’s not afraid to ask for three times more than he probably deserves without blinking.

At a panel this week at the Grace Hopper Celebration, an annual gathering for women in tech, founder of Women in Tech Regatta Melody Biringer made a compelling point about how women can do to ensure they get what they deserve: if you can’t beat Chad, channel him. By this she means that women shouldn’t be afraid to put themselves first and blindly ask for what they want. Check out the story for more tips on how women can get ahead in the male-dominated tech world.
