Fox News misinformation about COVID is causing unnecessary death
For ratings, for fame, for cynical, monetary purposes, the Fox News network—overseen by CEO Suzanne Scott—has decided to fan the flames of vaccine resistance. And it's getting thousands of people killed. And when those people die, they are of course forgotten by Fox News. Chris Hayes

Some years ago, I read something about the 1919 pandemic which spread around the world. One of the takeaways from that reading was that some places in the United States had terrible outcomes, and other places in the United States had more modest issues. This was accounted for by differences in the public health measures that were implemented in the different places.
The same thing is happening today. The parts of the world and the parts of the USA where good public health measures are respected there are reasonable outcomes ... and when good public health measures are flouted, then the results are bad.
One of the issues in the USA is that anything that makes profit is considered to be good ... no matter what the impacts of the profitable activity are on society, the environment and indeed other parts of the local or global economy. Fox News is making profit from dangerous misinformation ... in turn a very dangerous problem for the USA.
