There is a lot of positive commentary about the recent success of the Ukraine armed forces in pushing back the Russian forces. There are suggestions that this is being something of a rout of the Russians, but this may be exaggerated.
I try to remind myself that the front lines of the current fight are mostly still in Ukraine territory taken by the Russians since February this year. The fortifications established since the Russion intrusion in 2014 have yet to be crossed, and that will be a tough fight.
I agree with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that reversing the territorial gains made by Russia in 2014 should be goal, with a complete withdrawal of all Russian military from within the pre-2014 Ukrainina boundaries.
Hopefully all the NATO allies will give support to this goal, together with the people of these countries. So far there has been good support, but there will soon be a difficult winter which might test the allies resolve. My hope is that the allies will not let Ukraine down.

Surprise attack in Ukraine Kharkiv oblast over the weekend has changed everything in the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russian army is retreating away from the counter offensive. Soldiers are in a full rout running way. This is similar to the battle retreat from Kyiv. Supply lines have been destroyed. Train rail roads have changed hands.
