Recently, The strategic regions of the Black Sea and the Crimean peninsula, the focal point of the war between Ukraine and Russia, have become the most important topic of discussion on the agenda today.
Today, the United States and its allies are taking a very big step in the Black Sea to break the Russian navy's blockade of the Black Sea and to intimidate the Russian army and navy around Crimea and Azov.
Ukraine has recently taken critical actions against Crimea, such as the historic 42 drone strikes and landing operations on the peninsula.
In order not to be left behind in the power struggle in the Black Sea, Moscow has tried to impose a political blockade in this critical region, primarily using the grain treaty.
Following Russia's decision to terminate the Black Sea Grain Treaty, we witnessed missile and drone strikes in the coastal areas of Ukrainian and Romanian ports.
Russia launched massive missile and drone strikes on Odessa and the region, destroying ports, granaries, residential buildings and other facilities.
Recently, the Romanian defense minister reported that the remains of the drone used in the Russian attack on the Ukrainian port were found on Romanian territory.
The attack took place on the eve of a summit in Russia between Vladimir Putin and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who hopes to revive the grain deal.
Romanian authorities had previously denied reports that drones had crashed on Romanian territory and said Russia's strikes in neighboring Ukraine did not pose a direct threat.
President Klaus Iohannis had said that the confirmation of the discovered parts of a Russian drone would be a serious violation.
Later, Romanian Defense Minister Angel Tilvar announced that parts that could belong to a drone had been found.
Ukraine also reported the previous day that drones were detonated in Romania during an overnight Russian airstrike on a Ukrainian port on the Danube River.
A social media video and photo showed an explosion on the Romanian side of the Danube, opposite Izmail.
NATO allies expressed their strong solidarity with Romania after it informed them of the incident.
In the wake of all these critical situations, the Russian problem in the Black Sea and Crimea has provoked serious international reactions.
The United States, one of Ukraine's most important allies, was one of the countries that expressed its strongest reaction.
In September, a meeting of NATO naval commanders was held in Constanta with representatives from Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, Ukraine and France.
Today we learn that as a result of this critical meeting, the US made the most important decisions on the Black Sea since the beginning of the war.
The US has announced that it will adopt the Black Sea Security Act of 2023, which could have a positive impact on strengthening Ukraine's national security and ensuring NATO's presence in the Black Sea.
This means that the Crimea issue has been resolved.
At the same time, Romania and the US will conduct naval exercises with the US, Ukraine and their allies in the Danube delta in the Black Sea.
According to a statement from the Romanian Navy headquarters, the Romanian Navy will conduct the Sea Breeze 23 naval exercise in the Danube delta and the Black Sea with the participation of representatives of Ukraine and other allied nations.
The exercises, which will take place in the Romanian Navy's area of responsibility, will also involve forces from the United States, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Ukraine and France.
The exercise will be led by Vice Admiral Ioan Georgescu, Commander of the Naval Component Command.
The exercises will take place shortly after Russia launched massive drone strikes on Ukrainian ports and Russia's withdrawal from the grain treaty.
So this joint NATO effort is a clear message to Russia.
The US contribution to the exercises includes the Poseidon maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft, submersible engineers on boats and specialized equipment.
Other participating countries will contribute divers, explosive ordnance disposal experts and senior officers.
From the Romanian side, naval assets and personnel will include the dredging vessel Sublocotenent Alexandru Axente, the high-speed diving vessel Venus, the armored boat Posada, three amphibious armored personnel carriers, assault boats and other naval vessels.
Experts specializing in explosive ordnance disposal, marines and senior officers will also participate.
