this prevailing notion as far as Donald Trump is concerned that if he Reveals His criminality in public that it'll somehow seem less corrupt it's not just because he's saying to an audience full of people that he's going to fix the next election does not somehow make it any less illegal or unconstitutional or anti-democratic I want to be perfectly clear he is promising an end to our democracy in broad daylight we ignore him at our own peril in fact here's a 1:01 perfect example Donald Trump posted this online [Music] so when Trump posts stuff like that I get that the easy read here is just to say that he's trolling the Democrats but that's actually giving him the benefit of the doubt that he doesn't deserve that's us letting him off easy he's not just trolling the libs he is signaling 1:47 to his audience exactly what he's going 1:48 to do and let's be clear they know 1:51 exactly what he means so let's not be 1:53 naive on our parts in fact we already 1:55 know how he's going to do it there's a 1:57 provision in Project 2025 that if you 1:58 don't know about need to know about and 2:00 if you do know about it take this 2:02 opportunity to make sure that you know 2:03 it well because this is the single most 2:06 chilling part of the Republicans agenda 2:07 if they do take power it's called 2:09 schedule F it's an executive order that 2:11 Trump tried passing once in October 2020 2:13 but he ultimately didn't have time to 2:15 put it into effect because he lost the 2:16 election a few weeks later in November 2:19 that executive order sought to 2:20 reclassify hundreds of thousands of 2:21 career civil servants who populate the 2:23 government people who work at doj FBI 2:26 IRS FCC as political appointees so right 2:29 now now a president can only replace 2:31 about 4,000 people in the federal 2:32 government when they take office Donald 2:34 Trump wants to expand it to almost 2:36 everyone this would mean hundreds of 2:38 thousands of experts in their field 2:40 could be replaced with absolute 2:42 loyalists to Donald Trump think about 2:44 what that would mean in practice think 2:46 about what a lawless president like 2:47 Donald Trump could do for example if the 2:49 doj is staffed not with career 2:51 prosecutors whose loyalty and adherence 2:53 is to the law but rather political 2:55 appointees loyal to Trump remember in 2:57 2020 When Donald Trump and Republicans 2:59 called for ballot to be thrown out in 3:00 places like Detroit or Philly or 3:02 Milwaukee citing non-existent claims of 3:04 fraud it didn't work then but schedule F 3:07 wasn't in effect and the career 3:08 prosecutors in the doj weren't willing 3:10 to humor these baseless claims even Bill 3:12 bar called them absolute but if 3:15 schedule F is in effect and now you have 3:17 thousands of trump sycophants in charge 3:19 of validating these claims and deciding 3:21 you know what we think there was fraud 3:23 in these Democratic stronghold and those 3:25 votes have to be thrown away that means 3:27 that suddenly votes in big population 3:29 centers at the heart of these bogus 3:30 fraud claims would be at risk and think 3:33 about whether it's possible to win 3:34 elections for Democrats in Michigan 3:36 without Detroit in penssylvania without 3:38 Philadelphia and Wisconsin without 3:40 Milwaukee in short with that kind of 3:42 power it means Democrats quite literally 3:44 never win another election again what 3:46 happened in 2020 was them testing the 3:48 fence to see where it was weakest and 3:50 they fixed the stuff that didn't go in 3:51 their favor this plan wouldn't be the 3:53 first steps toward autocracy it would be 3:55 autocracy full stop and it's not just 3:58 Trump take a look at what JD Vance said 4:00 on this same topic I think that the 4:02 thing that we have to take away from the 4:04 last 10 years is that we really need to 4:06 be really ruthless when it comes to the 4:08 exercise of power um I was talking about 4:12 this with with someone earlier today 4:14 where you remember there was some threat 4:16 that Congressional or Senate Republicans 4:17 made if you get rid of the filibuster 4:19 we're going to do X Y and Z and you 4:21 actually look at it it's like well this 4:23 is this is not that 4:24 interesting we're going to actually 4:26 deliver on our promises that we've made 4:27 for 4:28 decades you know this you know this is 4:32 this is the threat if you get rid of the 4:33 filibuster we're going to do this stuff 4:35 like they're talking about expanding the 4:37 Supreme Court they're talking about 4:38 adding you know two senators from 4:40 heavily Democratic places you get rid of 4:42 the Fuster will actually deliver a def 4:45 has been telling us that you know we 4:47 don't want to do yeah um so I I think I 4:51 mean look I am a cynic about this and 4:55 and maybe even a little bit of a 4:56 pessimist but I think the challenge 4:58 confronting American conservatives is 5:01 that we have lost every major powerful 5:04 institution in the country except for 5:05 maybe churches and religious 5:06 institutions which of course are weaker 5:08 now than they've ever been uh we've lost 5:10 big business we've lost Finance we've 5:12 lost the culture we've lost the academy 5:15 and if if we're going to actually really 5:19 affect real change in the country it 5:22 will require us completely repace 5:24 replacing the existing ruling class with 5:26 another ruling class I say that knowing 5:29 and hearing myself it sounds really hard 5:31 it is really hard but I don't think 5:33 there's like a detent with these people 5:34 I don't think there's sort of a 5:35 compromise that we're going to come with 5:37 the people who currently actually 5:39 control the country unless we overthrow 5:41 them in some way we're going to keep 5:43 losing and that's the challenge in other 5:45 words JD Vance is putting the 5:47 desperation of the GOP on full display 5:49 he says right there that Republicans 5:51 have lost culture they've lost business 5:54 who are obviously responsive to their 5:55 customer base who the Republicans have 5:57 also lost they've lost the respect of 5:58 legitimate instit tions and so they're 6:00 going to have to overthrow the existing 6:02 power Brokers as he calls them and take 6:04 control by force his words not mine 6:07 notice too how Vance doesn't explain why 6:09 Republicans have lost the respect of all 6:11 of these groups and institutions he just 6:13 explains how Republicans now have to 6:14 overthrow them but the reason they've 6:16 lost the respect of every major group 6:18 and institution in this country is 6:19 precisely because of this rhetoric 6:22 because of this anti-democratic 6:23 mentality this authoritarian impulse is 6:26 why Republicans have lost major 6:28 influence brokers this country and it 6:30 sure is telling that rather than try to 6:32 meet people where they are their 6:33 automatic reaction their gut impulse is 6:36 just to replace them to overthrow them 6:39 they only know how to impose their 6:40 edicts on people not to actually listen 6:42 to what people want to their core they 6:44 do not believe in democracy in fact I 6:46 spoke about this on Piers Morgan show 6:48 where peers even tried to shame me for 6:50 rightfully calling out the fact that I 6:51 acknowledged Donald Trump's pensant for 6:53 fascism one trick that Kamala Harris 6:56 missed in Her speech which was it was 6:57 not a bad speech at all um but one thing 7:00 she didn't do she didn't allude to the 7:01 assassination attempt on Trump and it's 7:04 only been nine days since someone tried 7:06 to murder Donald Trump and actually shot 7:09 him in the ear missing killing him by a 7:11 quarter of an inch would it not have 7:13 been a smart move in between calling him 7:16 you know a sexual predator and a Comm 7:18 man and a fake and blah blah blah blah 7:19 blah very ad homenum stuff would it not 7:21 have been a smart move in terms of unity 7:24 had she just taken a moment to 7:26 acknowledge the assassination attempt 7:28 and and say how pleased she was that he 7:31 survived it something of that 7:33 nature Pierce I find it so bizarre that 7:36 the onus is always on the Democrats it's 7:38 always on the adults in the room to 7:39 create Unity where was everybody for the 7:41 last six years calling for Unity When 7:44 Donald Trump was president and you know 7:46 as far as the violence is concerned I 7:48 feel like any effort to try to pin again 7:51 the onus on Democrats uh in terms of 7:54 lowering the temperature in this country 7:55 is just a testament to the to the fact 7:57 that that the Republicans are graded on 7:58 the Curve remember it was not the 8:01 Democrats while we're talking about 8:02 political violence it wasn't the 8:04 Democrats who laughed at Paul Pelosi 8:06 being bludgeon with a hammer that was 8:08 Donald Trump it wasn't Democrats who 8:10 called for military tribunals for Liz 8:11 Cheney that was Donald Trump it wasn't 8:14 Democrats who laughed at a kidnapping 8:15 plot against Gretchen Whitmer that was 8:17 Donald Trump wasn't Democrats who called 8:18 for General Mark Millie to be executed 8:20 that was Donald Trump wasn't Democrats 8:22 who who posted a baseball bat photo with 8:25 Alvin BR and threat death and 8:27 destruction if he was charged so in all 8:28 of these peers it is not the Democrats 8:31 who've done this it's not the Democrats 8:33 who've who validated the use of 8:34 political violence as a tool in this 8:36 country and Democrats all of a sudden to 8:39 be the adults in the room all right 8:41 Brian to a point Lord copper as we would 8:44 say in the UK right it is for Democrats 8:46 who for eight years of scream that he's 8:48 Adolf Hitler that's fairly violent 8:50 rhetoric you're comparing him directly 8:52 to Absolute genocidal Maniac murdered 12 8:56 million people including 6 million Jews 8:59 and a C so when you do that that is 9:01 violent rhetoric Piers if Donald Trump acts like a fascist it is not the democrat's false fault for calling him a f that he is Hitler no ABS no absolutely not but I'm saying he does act like a fascist he does want to consolidate power in the executive branch he does want to send the military into American cities he does want to problem comparing him to Adolf Hitler I am calling him a fascist that's what I'm doing again if Trump wants to act like a fascist then we should have zero qualms about calling him a fascist don't let the right shaming and false equivalencies about Hitler affect you this is about Donald Trump and his fascist Behavior it was him who said that he wants to terminate the Constitution it was him who said he wants to be a dictator on day one who said he wants to invade US cities who said he wants to declare martial law who said he wants to execute Mass deportations if he doesn't want to be labeled as a fascist he shouldn't act like one so when we warn about Donald Trump and project 2025 and Republican control of government and say that it will fundamentally change our democracy 10:02 do not doubt it this is the warning and
