to our full 1:00 episode factchecking the entire debate one moment from that night stood out to everyone for those of us with more than two brain cells it was an insane moment and to the Maga supporters it stood out as something they need to help stop when he said in Springfield they're eating the dogs the people that came in they're eating the cats they're eating they're eating the pets of the people that live there fiscal conservatives and Democrats alike were all shocked by this white wild story that many of us were hearing for the first time during that debate it was so wild that even the moderators had to step in to fact check it in real time I just want to clarify here you bring up Springfield Ohio and ABC News did reach out to the city manager there uh he told us there have been no credible reports of specific claims of pets being harmed injured or abused by individuals within the Immigrant Community but where did this wild Story begin well in Springfield Ohio a 35-year-old Woman by the name of Erica Le posted on social 2:01 media a chilling story warning others to look out for their pets in the Springfield area in the post on social media Erica says that someone stole her daughter's friend's cat and she later found it quote strung up from a branch outside the home of a Haitian family it read as if Erica herself saw all of this happen from a first-person perspective the original post said that she saw the cat hanging from a tree quote from a branch like you do a deer for butchering and they were in it up to eat and that's a pretty vivid detail to add to a story but Erica later admitted that she only heard the story from a friend of a friend of a friend however she decided to tell a story on social media from a first-person perspective to quote ad validity to the story rather than sharing the truth that it was her friend's friend's friend so who is this friend of a friend of a friend well it turns out that friend was a member of a Neo-Nazi hate group called The Blood Tribe they were the earliest known 3:00 writers of this false story shared on Neo-Nazi websites their story made its way to Erica Lee and later to Donald Trump in fact when Trump mentioned it on the debate stage last week they posted quote the president is talking about it now this is what real power looks like but then social media started blowing up on right-wing sites like Twitter Rumble and forchan dumbfounded that this Erica woman saw it all happen in person and cops aren't even doing anything to stop it but when friends of started sharing the story and Erica was asked about it she doubled down and told local media that quote I've been told they are doing this to dogs they've been doing it at Snyder Park with the ducks and geese and claimed she was told that by the park rangers and the Springfield Police Department but you should know that Springfield Ohio city officials have said there is quote no evidence of this happening and the Springfield Police Department who allegedly told Eric Ali all about the ducks in SNY Park say 4:01 there quote have been zero reports of animal killings and consumption in the Springfield area but after Tuesday night's debate Trump's supporters who blindly believed him called the city of Springfield to complain they called the police station hundreds and hundreds of times asking for more information on what they're doing to prevent it from happening again when that obviously didn't work to stop a crime from happening that already wasn't happening just like all rational people Trump supporters then called in bomb threats to the Springfield City Hall and the City Hospital causing them to evacuate their buildings and when that didn't work Trump supporters then called in bomb threats to the snowhill elementary school in Springfield Ohio causing them to shut down school for two consecutive days so far at the time of this recording some of the Maga followers have even gotten the city wrong entirely and started harassing the Springfield Missouri city council asking them to do something immediately to stop Haitian 5:00 immigrants from eating their pets even though nothing in this story is connected to Missouri at all and Trump never mentioned Missouri following the threats Trump was asked if he denounced these violent threats against the Springfield City Hall their hospital and their school he responded by dodging the question saying quote I don't know what happened with the bomb threats Springfield was this beautiful town and now they're going through hell it's a sad thing not going to happen with me I can tell you right now but Springfield is only going through this because of Trump's words and actions the mayor of Springfield says quote Federal politicians are negatively spinning our city they need to know they are hurting our city it was their words that did it referring to Trump nvp pick JD Vance And even JD Vance says they know they've brought this negative attention onto such a small town first of all what's putting the residents of Springfield at risk which was a town completely ignored by the American American Media until 6:00 Donald Trump and I started surfacing 6:02 some of these concerns but for once 6:04 Trump is actually right it is in fact a 6:07 sad thing because from the looks of it 6:09 Springfield was and still is a beautiful 6:12 town now overrun with Maga fans trying 6:15 to stop a crime from happening that 6:17 never happened in the first place and 6:20 anyone who looks like an immigrant in 6:21 that area is now a target for attack 6:24 from the Maga followers a group of 6:26 followers who have repeatedly taken 6:28 Trump's word words and acted in a 6:31 vigilante manner because in their 6:33 opinion local cops didn't do anything to 6:35 stop something that already wasn't 6:38 happening in the first place it should 6:39 be noted here that every Haitian and 6:42 other ethnic minority in the City of 6:44 Springfield is there legally so while 6:47 Trump might disagree on policy he can't 6:50 just call someone illegal if they're 6:52 here under a federal law secondly Ohio 6:55 is the state senator JD Vance represents 6:58 so if something bad is happening in 7:01 Springfield why has JD not done anything 7:04 to solve it in the past 2 years since he 7:07 was elected their Senator that's not to 7:09 mention that shortly after Trump and 7:11 Vance brought Springfield to the 7:12 National Spotlight a group of more than 7:15 a dozen proud boys showed up and marched 7:17 in the street the proud boys are a known 7:20 hate group to the FBI and incite 7:22 violence almost everywhere they go but 7:25 Trump once told them to quote stand back 7:27 and stand by and JD van says we 7:30 shouldn't care about the hate group in 7:32 the streets of Springfield we should 7:34 care more about kamla Harris I think 7:36 that we have to keep our Focus not on 12 7:39 Marchers going down the street but on 7:41 the fact that thousands of residents 7:43 have had their lives destroyed by kamla 7:46 Harris's policy but you should know this 7:48 isn't even the first time Trump and 7:50 Vance sent their mob after Springfield 7:53 Ohio some of those residents are the 7:55 Clark family whose 11-year-old son Aiden 7:58 was killed in a freak car accident last 8:01 year the Trump campaign recently took 8:03 that story and changed the narrative to 8:05 now say the boy was murdered in Cold 8:07 Blood by an immigrant and they keep 8:09 spreading that lie even though the Clark 8:12 family and the boy's father have 8:14 repeatedly asked Trump to stop 8:16 mentioning their son and lying about his 8:18 death JD Vance and Donald Trump they 8:21 have spoken my son's name and used his 8:24 death for political 8:26 gain this needs to stop now they are not 8:29 allowed nor have they ever been allowed 8:32 to mention Aiden Clark from Springfield 8:35 Ohio I will listen to them one more time 8:37 to hear their apologies but JD Vance and 8:40 Trump don't have an apology for them all 8:43 he says is uh I wish them all the best I 8:46 can't believe what kind of a tragedy 8:48 they've experienced but I'm still going 8:49 to keep on talking about what the 8:51 migrants have done to Springfield Ohio 8:54 and what KLA Harris's open border has 8:56 done to Springfield Ohio and in my 8:58 opinion anyone who who lies about the 9:00 death of an 11-year-old boy just to 9:02 score some political points is not fit 9:04 to be in office again JD Vance is the 9:07 senator of Ohio so if there is a problem 9:10 why isn't he working to solve it but I'm 9:12 sure that reason has nothing to do with 9:14 the election coming up and the fact that 9:16 all the states that surround Ohio are 9:18 key Battleground States for Trump and 9:21 I'm sure it has nothing to do with the 9:23 fact that JD Vance admitted on camera 9:25 this week that they made the whole story 9:27 of the dogs and cats up just to gain 9:30 some attention in the media if I have to 9:32 if I have to create stories so that the 9:36 American Media actually pays attention 9:38 to the suffering of the American people 9:40 then that's what I'm going to do Dana 9:42 because you guys are completely letting 9:44 kamla Harris Coast you just said that 9:46 this is a story that you've created so 9:49 so the the eating dogs and C thing is 9:51 not we are creating we 9:54 are the story being made up is kind of 9:56 part for the course from the Trump 9:58 campaign at this point after all they 10:00 lie a lot but you might ask why would 10:03 the Maga crowd that proclaims to be 10:05 working to protect kids from drag queens 10:08 suddenly start calling in bomb threats 10:10 to elementary schools over a crime that 10:13 never happened the truth is this is far 10:15 from the first time they've committed 10:17 terrorism against schools hospitals 10:20 libraries and city offices in fact this 10:23 immediate violence has been one of the 10:25 few things that you can count on from 10:27 Maga supporters over the past few years 10:29 it's happened literally hundreds and 10:31 hundreds of times before where a 10:34 terrorist group like lives at Tik Tok 10:35 moms for liberty or the proud boys 10:38 posted on social media a blatant lie 10:40 about some City School library hospital 10:43 or event then Their audience sends bomb 10:46 threats and death threats to anyone and 10:48 everything they can just to scare people 10:51 and stop whatever it is they think is 10:53 happening from taking place from a 10:55 medical clinic in Oregon to a Planet 10:56 Fitness in Oklahoma to a children's 10:59 hospital Hospital in Washington DC it 11:01 happens all the time in fact USA Today 11:04 even describes it as quote when livs a 11:07 Tik Tock tweets threats increasingly 11:09 follow but livs of Tik Tok being a 11:11 terrorist group is not really surprising 11:13 to any of us who actually follow 11:15 politics or news what's shocking is how 11:18 many times Donald Trump has shared their 11:20 post as the truth how many times Fox 11:23 News hosts like Tucker Carlson invited 11:26 her on his show to talk about the 11:28 Terrible Things that are happening in 11:29 our schools that aren't really happening 11:32 and other billionaires like Elon Musk 11:34 have shared her post and donated to her 11:37 cause just as one example back in April 11:39 2022 libsa Tik Tok posted a wild Claim 11:43 about an elementary school in Syracuse 11:45 New York installing litter boxes in 11:47 their restrooms to accommodate kids who 11:50 identify as furries immediately the 11:52 school started receiving bomb threats 11:54 and death threats for allowing such 11:56 actions but the principal and the school 11:58 board were shocked by the threats 12:00 because they had no idea what these 12:03 people were talking about police and 12:05 local press came in and found there were 12:07 no litter boxes in the school and the 12:09 whole story was made up by Libs of Tik 12:11 Tock but no one that called in a threat 12:14 was ever charged or convicted of sending 12:17 a terroristic threat against an 12:18 elementary school just like when Libs of 12:21 Tik Tok posted a supposed undercover 12:23 phone call where the founder of the hate 12:25 group posed as a parent and called a 12:27 children's hospital asking them to 12:29 perform gender affirming surgery on her 12:31 child and the hospital sight unseen set 12:35 up an appointment for the surgery later 12:37 it was revealed that the hospital staff 12:39 member the livesa Tik Tok founder was 12:41 actually talking to in that undercover 12:43 call reportedly never worked at the 12:45 hospital or any hospital for that matter 12:48 because it was revealed that it was her 12:50 friend and they were just faking the 12:52 whole story but that didn't stop her 12:54 audience from sending dozens of bomb 12:56 threats to the hospital anyway the truth 12:58 of those stories also didn't stop Donald 13:01 Trump from sharing them as the truth 13:03 with his audience and keeping the 13:05 threats coming to the school and the 13:07 hospital for weeks to come in fact in 13:10 the weeks after this false claim of 13:12 litter boxes in schools was made on the 13:14 libs a Tik Tok account dozens of school 13:17 districts from Michigan to Texas to 13:19 Wisconsin to other parts of New York all 13:22 had bomb threats called in to stop them 13:24 from having litter boxes in their school 13:27 restrooms right-wing radio host host 13:29 politicians and news anchors kept 13:31 stoking the fire of terrorism over 13:34 schools across the country none of which 13:37 ever had any litter boxes in their 13:39 restrooms for years now Trump has been 13:41 stoking the fires of hate against drag 13:44 gay and transgender communities his 13:47 supporters follow his directions and 13:48 show up to drag story hours with AK-47s 13:52 and other guns to stop dry Queens 13:55 dressed in appropriate outfits from 13:57 reading a book to kids with parents and 13:59 legal Guardians right behind them keep 14:02 in mind kids cannot get to these events 14:04 on their own and their parents are the 14:06 ones who take them to the event and 14:08 supervise the whole thing so if anything 14:11 inappropriate was happening the parents 14:13 would get their kids out of there the 14:15 only scary part about those events is 14:17 the proud boys with AK-47s in the back 14:20 row who say they're only there to 14:22 protect the kids when I put out my 14:24 second children's book earlier this year 14:26 Shadow's first Pride event I got dozens 14:28 of death threats from these Maga 14:30 followers who said my book was grooming 14:33 kids but not only does my book not 14:35 include any of that otherwise Amazon 14:38 Barnes & Noble and other retailers would 14:40 have flagged the book for adults only 14:43 which they did not do it's a 14:44 familyfriendly kids book but kids don't 14:47 have credit cards so only parents or 14:50 schools could buy the book for their 14:51 kids and therefore a legal guardian is 14:54 signing off that their kids can read it 14:57 and in no way should one person and get 14:59 to decide what is right or wrong for 15:01 everyone else to read other times Trump 15:04 just makes up his own lies and others 15:06 blindly support him and cause terrorism 15:09 across the country for example a few 15:11 weeks ago you might have heard Trump 15:13 saying can you imagine you're a parent 15:15 and your son leaves the house and you 15:18 say Jimmy I love you so much go have a 15:21 good day in school and your son comes 15:24 back with a brutal operation can you can 15:27 you even imagine this 15:29 what the hell is wrong with our country 15:31 no Trump I can't imagine that because 15:33 you know what it's a complete lie he's 15:36 been spreading this lie for weeks now 15:38 that your child can go to school and 15:39 come back another gender even going so 15:42 far as to claim the school nurse who 15:44 already has an overworked and thankless 15:47 job in many schools is performing these 15:49 gender affirming surgeries on any kid 15:52 who wants it on the teacher's desk in 15:54 the front of the classroom with all the 15:56 other kids watching and without any Al 15:59 consent your child can come home from 16:01 school with completely different 16:03 genitals I want to be very clear this is 16:05 not happening in any school in the 16:07 United States and legally speaking no 16:10 child can get gender affirming surgery 16:12 until they are 18 years old because of 16:14 federal laws that already exist School 16:17 nurses are also not surgeons and a 16:20 teacher's desk in front of a classroom 16:22 is not a steril environment for surgery 16:24 so why spread this lie and what harm 16:27 does it really do well Tiffany Justice 16:29 who is a co-founder of the hate group 16:31 moms for Liberty says quote are kids 16:33 getting surgery in school no they're not 16:36 however she mentioned how thankful she 16:38 was that Trump made the false claim 16:40 since it brought attention to the issue 16:42 of children being allowed to use their 16:45 preferred name and pronouns at school 16:47 how dare they the senior legal fellow at 16:49 the Heritage Foundation the organization 16:51 responsible for writing Trump's project 16:53 2025 plans named Thomas jipping said 16:57 that quote Trump's point is completely 17:00 valid but he admitted that even he is 17:02 quote not aware of any specific incident 17:05 yet where it has gone that far where it 17:07 has gone from social to Medical 17:09 transition in school so everyone even on 17:11 the far right knows it's a complete lie 17:14 and schools are not performing surgery 17:16 on kids in the classroom but Trump's 17:18 audience doesn't care and is now looking 17:20 at hundreds of schools across the 17:22 country to find the evidence of such 17:25 classroom surgeries evidence that does 17:27 not exist but his audience will no doubt 17:30 make up and believe is real anyway but 17:33 even Maga followers are legally entitled 17:35 to their own stupidity and freedom of 17:37 speech that doesn't mean it will turn 17:39 from threats to actual violence right 17:42 well I would argue it already has back 17:45 at the start of the civil rights 17:46 movement in 1963 plenty of threats were 17:48 being sent to anyone supportive of civil 17:51 rights when those threats didn't stop 17:53 people from supporting equal rights the 17:55 leaders of the KKK decided to bomb the 17:58 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham 18:01 Alabama on September 15th 1963 an 18:04 anniversary of which just passed this 18:06 week bombings kept happening across the 18:09 city so much that the city was nicknamed 18:12 bombingham Alabama and many people lost 18:14 their lives for years including just 18:17 recently abortion clinics across the 18:19 country have been targets of bombings 18:21 shootings and other violence thanks to 18:24 political leaders making them the target 18:26 of discussion and making up wild lives 18:29 about what goes on inside of their 18:30 clinics but her vice presidential pick 18:33 says abortion in the ninth month is 18:35 absolutely fine he also says execution 18:39 after birth it's execution no longer 18:41 abortion because the baby is born is 18:44 okay it's heartbreaking to hear a story 18:46 of someone killed but always interesting 18:48 how someone showing up to stop abortion 18:51 has no problem shooting or bombing a 18:53 clinic full of people to murder them 18:56 it's almost as if they're all lives 18:58 matter motto only applies if you're a 19:01 Republican and not some teenage girl who 19:03 was raped by her stepfather who voted 19:05 Republican Donald Trump is no different 19:08 he's spreading wild lies about things 19:10 that never happen and sharing them with 19:12 an audience who hangs on to every word 19:14 he says like it's not only the truth but 19:17 it's their Gospel According to Trump 19:19 we've seen his lies about a stolen 19:21 election result in his audience making 19:23 bomb threats and assassination plans 19:26 against anyone who dared say Biden won a 19:29 free and fair election in 2020 19:31 ultimately Trump's calls for violence 19:33 pushed his audience to commit treason 19:36 against their own country and storm the 19:38 capital on January 6 2021 on that day 19:42 over 2,500 people stormed the US capital 19:45 to hang members of Congress and their 19:48 own vice president Mike Pence for not 19:51 overturning the election that Donald 19:53 Trump told them was robbed from him to 19:56 this day only 1,69 of them have ever 19:59 been charged with any crime for their 20:01 actions on that day it resulted in the 20:04 American taxpayers paying 2 20:07 m881 360 in repair costs for their 20:11 damages and nine deaths including five 20:15 police officers according to Trump in 20:17 last week's debate only one person died 20:19 as a result of that day I guess his blue 20:22 lives matter attitude forgets the five 20:24 police officers who died defending the 20:26 capital against his mob but to be fair 20:29 the four riers died from their own 20:31 actions one of them tried breaking into 20:33 a closed area to murder a member of 20:36 Congress was shot by police and bled out 20:39 because the rioting crowd behind her 20:40 didn't care if she died two more riers 20:43 died from heart attacks while storming 20:45 the capital and another from an overdose 20:47 on the way in but all of them were in 20:49 the process of committing treason so 20:52 they've all been ruled as Justified or 20:54 died from their own causes but a police 20:57 officer suffered a stroke and died from 20:59 the stress after being struck with a 21:01 fire extinguisher by a magat trump 21:04 supporter that day four others took 21:06 their own lives in the days that 21:07 followed thanks to PTSD and so much pain 21:11 from their injuries committed by Maga 21:13 supporters so Trump's words and actions 21:16 have already caused lots of violence 21:18 across the country his audience is 21:20 emboldened to continue committing 21:22 violence until they get the country back 21:25 from whoever they think stole it from 21:26 them back to a time when they believe it 21:29 was better when women had no rights 21:31 Gades were imprisoned and people of 21:33 color were slaves you might look at 21:35 what's happening and think to yourself 21:37 how could this happen in such a great 21:38 country or how could so many people fall 21:41 for this lunatic but historically 21:43 speaking many people have fallen for 21:45 crazy dictators Germans fell for every 21:48 lie Hitler made up so they helped him 21:50 put Jews and gay people in camps and 21:53 they helped him build showers for them 21:55 to be slaughtered in Russians helped 21:57 gorbachov commit a atrocities and are 22:00 currently helping Putin with an unwinable war against Ukraine history is filled with stories just like Trump and his magga supporters the fact is we're all living through a chapter in history that will someday be written the terrifying part is the FBI and the military are watching it all happen and they're not charging Trump Libs of Tik Tock moms for Liberty Heritage Foundation or anyone with these crimes and until they do this chapter won't be be over the scary part for me is thinking what if it was my City Springfield was a quiet little town that was overall quite happy to live in sad things happened a year ago with a child dying in a car accident and other small town stories but the city didn't do anything wrong all of a sudden Trump makes up wild lies of a boy being murdered and spreads lies of cats and dogs being eaten and overnight the town is overrun with hate groups and media the city shuts down their schools City Hall and hospitals because of bomb 23:02 threats but they didn't do anything wrong to deserve it I honestly don't know what's worse the fact that these lies spread so rampantly on social media or the fact that someone who was president at one time and is asking to be president of the United States again and is asking to be trusted with the nuclear codes fell for the lies and keeps spreading them no matter the evidence in front of him what I can almost guarantee is one of these days these threats are going to turn into actual violence from a crowd that is already loaded with guns and ammo then we'll ask Trump to denounce the violence and much like he did on January 6th he'll say he was just there to give a speech and had nothing to do with the treason that followed because dictators never ever admit they did anything wrong luckily for us this chapter is not over we can choose a new way forward on November 5th by voting for kamla Harris and we can have a prosec take on these criminals and charge each 24:01 and every one of them with the terroristic threats violence and treason they committed anything less means our constitution is meaningless and if we elect a man who already committed treason is a known asset of the Russian government and a convict with 34 felonies then I wish everyone luck in the inevitable Civil War when Trump starts implementing his project 2025 and putting us all in camps and deporting everyone that's not a Christian nationalist you might say he wouldn't do that or they can't throw all of us in camps but in World War II there were camps for Japanese Americans in the US and remember Trump owns the Supreme Court and republicans in Congress so there's no one to stop him from becoming a dictator except for us on November 5th by the power of
