even more bizarre it's Jill Biden apparently taking control of cabinets take 1:01 today at the top of our meeting Jill's going to uh give an update on the house initiative White House initiative to fundamentally change the approach and fund and how we approach and fund Women's Health Services so I'd like to turn over to Jill and for any comment she has and it's all yours kid thank you you know sometimes the White House surprises you when Joe became president I knew I wanted to keep shining alike on the issues that I've worked on for so many years it's just very bizarre Brian to watch both of those and not conclude that Joe Biden is's no longer running the country the idea he takes that call in the middle of the night and has to press a nuclear button um I just I'm sorry I if I was an American I'd feel extremely concerned his wife seems to be running cabinet and he doesn't seem to know what day it is Pierce I think that this is maybe the most disingenuous framing that I've heard from you um 2:01 having having Jill talk about an initiative that she worked on or having Joe not know the the exact run of show doesn't mean that he forgot Mod's name and it doesn't mean that Jill is taking over cabinet meetings and and you know that again this is this is really bad faith framing with that said well that's what you hang on Brian that's you guys said for two years hang on hang on let me just respond to that you guys said for two years that Joe B was absolutely bang on whip smart leading the country nothing to worry about as people like me were writing endless columns and saying stuff on air that he clearly was not given the fact that Jill is talking about an initiative at a cabinet meeting and talking about the fact that Joe Biden didn't know run of show at one of the thousands why would he articulate that so loudly embarrassing Donal Trump Donald Trump in his right mind thought that Tim Cook's name was Tim apple and thought that erdan was the president of Hungary so 3:01 when are we going to do segments on that just because you don't know every single detail here's the thing that that and I know that you don't like to call yourself right-wing media even though all of your framing is rightwing here's the thing that that I don't understand is that every time is that is that Donald Trump has done the same thing if not leagues worse than all of the the small mistakes and errors that Joe Biden makes but we never talk about those because it's just baked into the cake that Donald Trump is going to say crazy things it's not that not that and because he's graded on and because he's graded on such a curve in both this country and international media more broadly it just comes and goes like a fart in a hurricane when he says that the that the president of of of Hungary is uh is erdogan for example yeah but you're missing the point the point about Trump is he's 78 but has the energy the energy of a 60y old the energy this guy think this guy this guy is so brain addled he thinks that Nancy Pelosi was in charge of the capital on January 6 he 4:01 thinks that Jeb Bush got us involved in the war in the Middle East he thinks that like I mean the he's he spend most of his rallies talking about talking about hanbal he SP most of his rallies talking about Hannibal Lector about magnets about sharks I mean the the notion that this guy is is in his right mind is laughable that was me sparring with Piers Morgan where in pi does what every mainstream media Outlet does which is to critique every single misstep of a Democrat no matter how small while giving Trump a free pass even when Trump has done the exact same thing in this instance Pierce not only super disingenuously claimed that Joe Biden not knowing who he was introducing next was him somehow forgetting Mod's name and that allowing Jill Biden to discuss an initiative that she's working on during a cabinet meeting meant that she's taken over the cabinet meeting which unto itself would be bad enough unto itself would be about as bad faith as it gets but even if Joe Biden did forget Modi which he didn't but just humor me here Donald Trump did the exact 5:00 same thing on numerous occasions and Trump actually is running for president again he called Ronnie Jackson his own White House doctor Ronnie Johnson he called JD Vance during the Ohio primary JD Mandel he's called Matt Gates Rick Gates said Nikki Haley was in charge of security at the capital on January 6th which by the way would still be a lie even if he correctly had said Nancy Pelosi the list goes on and on so if forgetting names is disqualifying then that's fine by me but perhaps let's apply the standard to Republicans as well and then of course Pierce pivots and suggests that none of that matters because even though he's 78 Trump's got the energy of a 60-year-old which is how right-wing media is now trying to spin Trump considering suddenly being an octogenarian is no longer disqualifying now that the only octogenarian in the white house would be Trump now they need to make the old issue disappear considering Trump's the old guy in the race and so they're pretending that even though he might be old on paper in real life he's a Sprite little thing might as well have been on the even bars in Paris 6:00 this summer which might carry just a tad more weight if this guy wasn't so deep in the throws of cognitive decline that I would be impressed if he knew what city he was in at any given moment remember this is the guy who claimed that Jeb Bush got us involved in the war in the Middle East that World War II hasn't happened yet that Barack Obama is the current president that Hannibal lecor a make believe cannibal was a great American that kamla Harris looked like his own wife on the cover of time that immigrants were eating your pets that kamla is in Black the list goes on and on I don't know who needs to hear this but that is not the mind of a man who is in his prime that is the mind of a man who should be watching golf tucked under a warm blanket but of course still Pierce offers up this framing because even though he pretends he's in the center a Hallmark of right-wing media is trying to shift the Overton window by claiming that right-wing talking points are actually centrus talking points and that by association left-wing talking points are radical left talking points see how that works even the relatively in ous Act of conservatives positioning 7:01 themselves as Centrist is a way for those conservatives to impact the media narrative here's another moment from the peers debate he teed up my response by suggesting that kamla Harris can't be trusted anymore because her positions from the 2020 primary contest are different from her current presidential platform Piers people run primary campaigns and try to figure out their Lane in the Democratic party and their positions evolve over time when things change in this country right now she's had the experience of four years as vice president recognizing in how to properly run an economy how to properly protect Healthcare and expand its access among Americans how to properly make sure that we have common sense gun safety restrictions how to properly actually pass legislation that Donald Trump pretended he would pass you want to talk about evolving positions Trump was Trump predicated his entire uh 2015 campaign when he was running as a fake populist on a jobs boom on passing an infrastructure law on having a healthcare reform bill that would make 8:00 Health less expensive less expensive Pier hold on less expensive pier and more comprehensive he didn't pass any of that not only did he not pass it he didn't try he used all of his political capital in office not to do any of those populous things that he promised when he was running for office but rather to just pass a tax cut for Millionaires and billionaires that's what he actually cared about and that's what he did when he actually had the power so it's ironic that we're talking about what kamla Harris said in a few months when she was campaigning in a primary Donald Trump had the ability to actually govern that way and he squandered it but you're missing a point she's also had that ability cuz she's been the vice president to Joe Biden for nearly four years so but the but the vice president doesn't dictate policy you know that she she's a senior part of the administration she's one one heart be away it's Jo bid's Administration that she simply cannot be trusted because her positions have changed and my two points are this first KLA Harris the candidate from four years ago is much different from kamla Harris the current vice 9:00 president and current Democratic Presidential nominee of today she has that experience under her belt that will inform her current positions no one actually expects someone to have the exact same agenda after four years of having the wealth of experience that she's had nor frankly is anybody acting in good faith honestly thinking that she should but if lack of consistency is disqualifying then is Trump disqualified because he said that he would pass a healthc care law and didn't is Trump disqualified because he said he' passed an infrastructure law and didn't is Trump disqualified because he said he have a jobs boom and didn't that he'd bring manufacturing back to the US and instead saw a net loss of manufacturing jobs that he'd build a wall across the entire Southern border and ended up building 52 miles of wall that he'd make Mexico pay for that non-existent wall and they didn't pay a cent I could go on and on but I think you get the point not only is this a bizarre standard but if it was an actual standard Trump fails it League worse than kamla Harris but of course that will never get brought up because again this definitely not right-wing host doesn't hold the two candidates to the same bar and look I 10:01 know there are going to be people out there who say that I shouldn't go on these shows or validate right-wing hosts or guests I disagree I welcome the opportunity to reach anyone wherever they are I know that we have facts on our side so at this point it's a matter of finding people wherever they are and making our case to them this election is going to be about expanding our tent so even if one person was persuaded then I feel like
