00if you add all those demographic piecestogether it seems to me that she wins by5% so Diane what do you think that theOctober surprise was well I think therewere quite a few of them uh they camefast and furious and uh I think ElonMusk definitely coming out publicly hewas already a uh a converted uh Trumpfan but the fact that he went outpublicly at rallies he paid huge moneyuh he gave Trump uh 45 million a monthfor his campaign if he elect if he putJD vents on the ticket as vice presidentso he has done an enormous amount ofmoney uh enor devoted money and time andthat is very unusual for someone to comeout so for square in favor of acandidate uh the othersurprise was Steve Bannon who is thearchitect of the whole magum movement uhyou know this is a guy who's arevolutionary he's not a politician uh
01he wants to upend the entire world orderuh no less and he was very instrumentalin the January 6th Riot uh on theCapitol Building concerning the theallegation that Trump had been uh stolenthat his election Victory had beenstolen so he went to jail for thatbecause he refused to testify under hissubpoena at Congress about whatever rolehe played in that so he just got out ofthe slammer uh last week just before theelection and he's already stoking theFlames of stop the steel this is goingto be rigged and this is what you knowwe could do about it if we are uh if wedo lose and that sort of thing so he'svery toxic um and he he will be powerfulin terms of uh putting his thumb on theon the on the scales so those two amountto big surprises I think The Economistmagazine was an October surprise it's
00never endorsed an American presidentialcandidate and it came out in favor oftrump called him dangerous and that'squite prestigious because theirreadership are probably mostlyconservatives and business people whowould normally tend to gravitate towarda trump rather than a Social Democratlike kamla Harris so those are some ofthe surprises I thought the rally in NewYork was not a surprise but what wassaid was pretty shocking and basicallyuh Trump has decided to double down onum intolerance and racist statementsjust to stoke up his base and geteverybody excited and also after thosePuerto Rico comments we saw bad buddy uhthe musician who is Puerto Rican comeout and endorse Harris and I think someof the analysts that we've been spokingspeaking to um have said you know that'salmost bigger than Taylor Swiftendorsing Kaa Harris for president justbecause because of you know bad buddy is
03a Latino artist and that's kind of theexact voter pool that people are that umthat both candidates are trying to grabright now that's right and uh I havethought for quite a while and I've saidso publicly uh that uh she will winbecause there are more women than menthat vote about four to five% more ofthe voters are female and a greaterproportion of women are Democrats thanrep Republican and the other uh theother issue is of course the uh the gaysand the Trump candidacy has reallydoubled down on on putting out theirreally really nasty awful ads abouttrans people about gays spewing liesabout you know they want to take overthe world and take our children from usand all this nonsense and so I I've gotto believe that quietly that every gayperson in America male or female isgoing to get out there and vote against
01Trump because he's definitely gaybashing and anti-gay the gay populationuh in the United States amounts to7.1% this is not a small amount so I'vealways said that between the women andthe gays I think that uh the Democratshave have the advantage but it's itlooks to be a tie but the polls arenever reliable saying that though we'vejust had a poll in from Iowa um sayingthat actually it could flip to to theDemocrats do you think that that's atall possible well it's a lot of if thisand if that and you know this isconjecture I mean we call it the polarcoaster that's what we're talking aboutthe polar coaster and every day there'ssome uh ignorant journalist and some uhyou know biased newspaper or websitethat says oh it's all G to boil down toPittsburgh you know as if it's all goingto boil down to anything everything isattached and not attached in other wordsevery every
00uh every Precinct that that either oneof them wins isn't affected by theothers and doesn't affect the othersit's all free standing and and it justhas to add up to the right number whatdo you think about this kind of thefinal stretch of the campaign you knowK's definitely managed to get a bit moremomentum in the last couple of days andfrom the Trump side it just seems tohave been quite chaotic like yesterdayhe seemed quite angry um politicalreported that this was trumpet his mostaggrieved his mostdiscursive um but it feels like thiswould be the time that he should haveyou know raided it in a bit more to youknow appeal to those undecided votershe's always been angry that's his brandH I don't think uh managing how hebehaves is going to matter a darn youeither like that brand and that brand isangry is masculine
00uh is is uh somewhat racist and sexistand certainly author leans authorittoward authoritarianism and Vengeance ifthat's your if that's your uh if that'swhat you like you're G to get his voteand and I really don't think that uhhe's really a lot different than he wasback in 2016 he started remember hestarted on a racist uh note by uhbecoming the birther you know claimcling that Barack Obama this is beforehe'd even I think become candidate wasnot really an American which is codeword for he's black he's not really oneof us he's not a white guy and so thisis really the last Terra of the whiteguys in America this election in myopinion do you think that the Trumpcampaign is a bit nervous this weekend Ithink everybody's probably nervousbecause you know we really don't knowyou really don't know till all theballots are cast and and even then it'sgoing to be a delay you know when the
01polls close 8 o'clock Eastern time inthe United States and then it getsprogressively later we're going to beway into the next day before we're goingto get a definitive answer unlesssomebody just runs away with it and thatdoes not look like the case this is avery divided country because it's agender election I was listening to um NDscaramucci and he said that actually bymaking the comments that he did aboutLiz Cheney and by making comments aboutuh reporters he could actually beviolating the terms of his parole by youknow with that kind of violentrhetoric do you think that that'spossible and what kind of consequencescould that have well I think I thinkhe's 100% right and Not only would thatviolate the terms of parole but also isa criminal code offense in Canada inBritain and most countries and in theUnited States He is uttering deaththreats not particularly the Vueillusion he had to I don't care if some
01reporters get killed why they shoot atme because you know that would make mehappy but it's when he directed it toher and talked about a firing squad gunsat her face that she should beeliminated that is a death threat thatis a criminal code offense andapparently there's a couple of AttorneysGeneral in the United States looking atit but it seems to me that everydistrict attorney in the United Statesshould be slamming him with chargesslapping him with charges this is justyou can't have this you know you I meanhe's doing it in a cutesy way and andhe's forgiven because oh well you knowthat's just him well you know what if Istand up or you stand up and say I wantthe mayor shot to death we go to jail weget charged that's a death threat it'sillegal he gets away with it lastly Ijust wanted to ask you and you kind ofsaid it already but who do you think isgoing to win I think Harris is going towin not by a huge amount but I believe
02and my analysis is not scientific it'sjust based on the fact that 7% of thepopulation is gay and they're going tovote they're not going to vote for Trumpand that more women than men 4% morewomen vote in the presidential electionsthan men and women aredisproportionatelyDemocrats plus I would add that I thinkthere's more educated people in theUnited States than uneducated people andhis his base is drawn from theuneducated male people who are straightand so if you add all those demographicpieces together it seems to me that shewins by 5%
