- if you add all those demographic pieces
- together it seems to me that she wins by
- 5% so Diane what do you think that the
- October surprise was well I think there
- were quite a few of them uh they came
- fast and furious and uh I think Elon
- Musk definitely coming out publicly he
- was already a uh a converted uh Trump
- fan but the fact that he went out
- publicly at rallies he paid huge money
- uh he gave Trump uh 45 million a month
- for his campaign if he elect if he put
- JD vents on the ticket as vice president
- so he has done an enormous amount of
- money uh enor devoted money and time and
- that is very unusual for someone to come
- out so for square in favor of a
- candidate uh the other
- surprise was Steve Bannon who is the
- architect of the whole magum movement uh
- you know this is a guy who's a
- revolutionary he's not a politician uh
- 1:01
- he wants to upend the entire world order
- uh no less and he was very instrumental
- in the January 6th Riot uh on the
- Capitol Building concerning the the
- allegation that Trump had been uh stolen
- that his election Victory had been
- stolen so he went to jail for that
- because he refused to testify under his
- subpoena at Congress about whatever role
- he played in that so he just got out of
- the slammer uh last week just before the
- election and he's already stoking the
- Flames of stop the steel this is going
- to be rigged and this is what you know
- we could do about it if we are uh if we
- do lose and that sort of thing so he's
- very toxic um and he he will be powerful
- in terms of uh putting his thumb on the
- on the on the scales so those two amount
- to big surprises I think The Economist
- magazine was an October surprise it's
- 2:00
- never endorsed an American presidential
- candidate and it came out in favor of
- trump called him dangerous and that's
- quite prestigious because their
- readership are probably mostly
- conservatives and business people who
- would normally tend to gravitate toward
- a trump rather than a Social Democrat
- like kamla Harris so those are some of
- the surprises I thought the rally in New
- York was not a surprise but what was
- said was pretty shocking and basically
- uh Trump has decided to double down on
- um intolerance and racist statements
- just to stoke up his base and get
- everybody excited and also after those
- Puerto Rico comments we saw bad buddy uh
- the musician who is Puerto Rican come
- out and endorse Harris and I think some
- of the analysts that we've been spoking
- speaking to um have said you know that's
- almost bigger than Taylor Swift
- endorsing Kaa Harris for president just
- because because of you know bad buddy is
- 3:03
- a Latino artist and that's kind of the
- exact voter pool that people are that um
- that both candidates are trying to grab
- right now that's right and uh I have
- thought for quite a while and I've said
- so publicly uh that uh she will win
- because there are more women than men
- that vote about four to five% more of
- the voters are female and a greater
- proportion of women are Democrats than
- rep Republican and the other uh the
- other issue is of course the uh the gays
- and the Trump candidacy has really
- doubled down on on putting out their
- really really nasty awful ads about
- trans people about gays spewing lies
- about you know they want to take over
- the world and take our children from us
- and all this nonsense and so I I've got
- to believe that quietly that every gay
- person in America male or female is
- going to get out there and vote against
- 4:01
- Trump because he's definitely gay
- bashing and anti-gay the gay population
- uh in the United States amounts to
- 7.1% this is not a small amount so I've
- always said that between the women and
- the gays I think that uh the Democrats
- have have the advantage but it's it
- looks to be a tie but the polls are
- never reliable saying that though we've
- just had a poll in from Iowa um saying
- that actually it could flip to to the
- Democrats do you think that that's at
- all possible well it's a lot of if this
- and if that and you know this is
- conjecture I mean we call it the polar
- coaster that's what we're talking about
- the polar coaster and every day there's
- some uh ignorant journalist and some uh
- you know biased newspaper or website
- that says oh it's all G to boil down to
- Pittsburgh you know as if it's all going
- to boil down to anything everything is
- attached and not attached in other words
- every every
- 5:00
- uh every Precinct that that either one
- of them wins isn't affected by the
- others and doesn't affect the others
- it's all free standing and and it just
- has to add up to the right number what
- do you think about this kind of the
- final stretch of the campaign you know
- K's definitely managed to get a bit more
- momentum in the last couple of days and
- from the Trump side it just seems to
- have been quite chaotic like yesterday
- he seemed quite angry um political
- reported that this was trumpet his most
- aggrieved his most
- discursive um but it feels like this
- would be the time that he should have
- you know raided it in a bit more to you
- know appeal to those undecided voters
- he's always been angry that's his brand
- H I don't think uh managing how he
- behaves is going to matter a darn you
- either like that brand and that brand is
- angry is masculine
- 6:00
- uh is is uh somewhat racist and sexist
- and certainly author leans authorit
- toward authoritarianism and Vengeance if
- that's your if that's your uh if that's
- what you like you're G to get his vote
- and and I really don't think that uh
- he's really a lot different than he was
- back in 2016 he started remember he
- started on a racist uh note by uh
- becoming the birther you know claim
- cling that Barack Obama this is before
- he'd even I think become candidate was
- not really an American which is code
- word for he's black he's not really one
- of us he's not a white guy and so this
- is really the last Terra of the white
- guys in America this election in my
- opinion do you think that the Trump
- campaign is a bit nervous this weekend I
- think everybody's probably nervous
- because you know we really don't know
- you really don't know till all the
- ballots are cast and and even then it's
- going to be a delay you know when the
- 7:01
- polls close 8 o'clock Eastern time in
- the United States and then it gets
- progressively later we're going to be
- way into the next day before we're going
- to get a definitive answer unless
- somebody just runs away with it and that
- does not look like the case this is a
- very divided country because it's a
- gender election I was listening to um ND
- scaramucci and he said that actually by
- making the comments that he did about
- Liz Cheney and by making comments about
- uh reporters he could actually be
- violating the terms of his parole by you
- know with that kind of violent
- rhetoric do you think that that's
- possible and what kind of consequences
- could that have well I think I think
- he's 100% right and Not only would that
- violate the terms of parole but also is
- a criminal code offense in Canada in
- Britain and most countries and in the
- United States He is uttering death
- threats not particularly the Vue
- illusion he had to I don't care if some
- 8:01
- reporters get killed why they shoot at
- me because you know that would make me
- happy but it's when he directed it to
- her and talked about a firing squad guns
- at her face that she should be
- eliminated that is a death threat that
- is a criminal code offense and
- apparently there's a couple of Attorneys
- General in the United States looking at
- it but it seems to me that every
- district attorney in the United States
- should be slamming him with charges
- slapping him with charges this is just
- you can't have this you know you I mean
- he's doing it in a cutesy way and and
- he's forgiven because oh well you know
- that's just him well you know what if I
- stand up or you stand up and say I want
- the mayor shot to death we go to jail we
- get charged that's a death threat it's
- illegal he gets away with it lastly I
- just wanted to ask you and you kind of
- said it already but who do you think is
- going to win I think Harris is going to
- win not by a huge amount but I believe
- 9:02
- and my analysis is not scientific it's
- just based on the fact that 7% of the
- population is gay and they're going to
- vote they're not going to vote for Trump
- and that more women than men 4% more
- women vote in the presidential elections
- than men and women are
- disproportionately
- Democrats plus I would add that I think
- there's more educated people in the
- United States than uneducated people and
- his his base is drawn from the
- uneducated male people who are straight
- and so if you add all those demographic
- pieces together it seems to me that she
- wins by 5%
