The British royal family has a daughter named Anne, Princess Royal. Her full name is Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise, and she was born on August 15, 1950. She is the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. King Charles III only has one sister. Ann was born third in line to the British throne and is now seventeenth. She has been Princess Royal since 1987 and will always be known as that.
Anne was born at Clarence House and went to Benenden School for her education. When she turned 18, she started her royal tasks. She won three medals at the European Eventing Championships in 1975, including a gold medal in 1971 and two silver medals that same year. At the 1976 Olympics, she was the first member of the British royal family to take part. The Princess Royal joined the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1988.
