Soon after world war 2 Agricultural entrepreneur Norman Borlaug, who came from a poor american farming community but did his innovative research out of Mexico, discovered crop science which made small farmers between 5 to 10 times more productive with staple crops with rice being the most simples to spread knowhow around. In essence microfranchsiing could replicate thousands of small village businesses with positive cash flow. You may ask how was this financed. It seems 4 models can be detected
