Terry Smith of Fundsmith ... huge remuneration ... but not enough !!!!!

In my view, Paul Polman was one of the 'best' CEOs on planet earth while he was CEO of Unilever taking a very responsible view about social and environmental responsibility as well as the profit performance.

In contrast most in the investment community, including Terry Smith of Fundsmith, are only interested in business profit performance and the associated stock valuations. Unilever was financially successful, but also addressed social and environmental matters in a meaningful way. I would be very interested to know how much 'good' is associated with the wealth accumulation that Terry Smitth is engaged in.

Unilver tried, but did not succeed in improving the supply chain associated with vegetable oil which remains out-of-control and expoiting both workers and the environment during every stage of the early production steps.

During the years since the end of WWII, there has been an impressive increase in productivity. The fact that this increase in productivity has not been used in a reasonable way to improve quality of life for everyone is a massive tragedy that the 'top' as avoided addressing for decades and generations of senior business and financial management.
