And current events in the USA are more often than not dominated by some mass shooting somewhere in the country. This Washington Post series documents some of the disturbing reality about gun violence and the aftermath. It may disappear from the 'news' very quickly but for those impacted the trauma lasts a long time if not for ever. Peter Burgess
