IDEAS ... navigation to less detail ... a listing of themes
The world is not short of IDEAS, but very few move beyond being an idea even to the next stage of being an INITIATIVE. In many case an IDEA may be associated with many different people. Sometimes an IDEA can be very powerful, but most IDEAS fail to get much traction.

Mohammed Ibrahim
Born in Sudan, and a British subject living in Monaco, he studied electonics and then worked in telecommunications, eventually building out a company called Celltel that operated cell phone systems in Africa. The company was sold in 2004 to a Kuwait company and Ibrahim became very wealthy. At the time I argued that the sale effectively increased the cost of cell telephony in Africa by a factor of 4, because the base investment made by the Kuwait company was around 4 times the real investment that had been made by Celltel in building out the network!
