David S Pankratz, MBA We have an opportunity to link willing impact investors with under-capitalized MFIs and Rural Banks in Ghana, to serve the rural population with whom we're doing Value Chain work. David S Pankratz, MBA ... Program Manager at IDE – International Development Enterprises We have not done this before, and are looking for assistance in setting up the necessary legal agreements. Does anyone have leads and/or templates for us to work from? Peter Burgess ... Founder/CEO at TrueValueMetrics ... formerly international business and development consultant and corporate CFO I need to dig out some old material I have on this ... but there is quite a well established community of people engaged on the development and deployment of Microfinance Investment Vehicles (MIVs) ... and I am in touch with some of this community in New York. Currently this is not at the top of my 'to do' list, but if this could help I would make it more of a priority. I am more focused on the broader question of how to have some radical reform of the metrics we are using, because in my view there is plenty of money capital (it is pretty much infinite because the banking system can create liquidity at the Federal Reserve / Central Bank level without much limit) but the allocation of this capital is almost exclusively allocated to money profit investment, with only a tiny part flowing into social impact projects. For all practical purposes, the triple bottom line defaults to money profit in most organizations, because the metrics for impact on people and planet are extremely weak while the metrics for money profit are extremely strong. I am attracted to the agriculture sector in Africa as a potential area of huge valuadd ... something that only becomes apparent with rigorous value chain analysis.
