I attended many of their events in New York for several years prior to the COVID pandemic ... but seem to have dropped off their contact list. Maybe this will get it reactivated ... I was born in 1940 in the UK. The father of one of my school friends was the Treasurer of the British Settlement in Shanghai in the 1930s and 40s. He was interned by the Japanese, freed, and later one of the last to leave Shanghai in 1948. He fled to Hong Kong and became part of the Jardine organization. I met him when he was visiting Europe helping Jardines in Hong Kong to establish their manufacturing capacity. I am fascinated by what has been happening in the last several decades in Asia and for a while was being invited to CKGSB events in New York. This stopped some time before the COVID pandemic.
