The US media landscape has degraded substantially during my adult lifetime.
There is a lot more material now than in the past ... recent and distant. But the messages in this material has become more and more problematic over time.
It is no longer at all clear who 'owns' the media infrastructure nor who are the people who actually control the content.
I am an old man. What I get shown in my various 'feeds' is very different from the 'feeds' that populate the various devices used by my daughter. We live in the same place ... but our electronic media environments are very different.
More than anything else, this is likely the root cause of much of the anger and divisiveness that is now the hallmark of modern times!
