I am more optimistic about the future of the United States now than I was a few weeks back. It has taken a while, but more serious reliable Americans are slowly mobilising to push back against the agenda of Trump, Musk et al.
I think there are 20 States going up against the Secretary of Education and the President filing for Declaratory and Injunctive Relief related to their actions. (See the complaint)
The 'destruction' of American government by Trump, Musk and others has been 'entertaining' ... but substantively nothing that was practical and positive has been accomplished by this collection of insane fools in the 80+ days they have been in power!
There is no question that they have done damage ... serious damage to the essential machinery of government.
But American's legal apparatus is now stirring, and my hope is that the 'law' will trump Trump.
Attached is a COMPLAINT FOR DECLARATORY AND INJUNCTIVE RELIEF related to the actions by the Trump cabal against the Department of Education. Many somewhat similar cases are being brought by others with standing ... and some of these are likely to stick ... not all, but hopefully enough to have some serious impact.
I should add, that Trump has been able to appear to be 'doing something' by keeping the media active with story after story after story .... but all of Trump's 'sound and fury is signifying nothing of substance ... an almost quote from Sakespeare's Henry 5th ... and will almost certainly be his undoing when the lawyers get their act together and start holding Trump, Musk et al to account.
Sadly ... the irreversible damage these clowns can bring about is huge ... and those of us who are on 'the right side of history' are not moving fast enouch!
