BANKING
A service to facilitate economic transactions ... a lubricant but NOT a fuel nor the engine
Hugely profitable, but services essential to the “south” are not available because the profits not big enough.
BANKING is a STRAND in the modern socio-enviro-economic system. There is a widely held belief that the banking sector creates wealth, but this is not real.
The banking sector merely consolidates wealth created in other sectors and enables the concentration of wealth by those who are in positions of power and influence.
BANKING is a lubricant for the functioning of the socio-enviro-economic, but neither the engine for the system nor the fuel!

EDUCATION
The education sector is critical to the future performance of the economy, but badly underfunded and good education is far from being accessible to all.
Education is an important 'enabler' of economic productivity, social quality of life and environmental understanding.
Children teach themselves, but education facilitates learning and done well makes a huge positive difference to a person's life.
Sadly, education can be and is used to facilitate indoctrination and 'control' over a population for nefarious purposes. This is a practice in both commerce and politics.
