Many factors are contributing to this result :
• Climate change is one of many contributing factors;
• There is more climate related drought:
• The groundwater is being overused with impact on vegatation;
• The human population of the area is growing, and encroaching on forest areas;
• Electric utilities have equipment that is sparking and causing fires;
• People are camping and causing fires;
• Forestry management is also contributing to dead underbrush;
• and the list goes on ...
