BAD ... Violence
Everyone should be appalled at the amount of violence in this world.
These images show some of the killing that has happened in the last hundred years.
Humankind has an abillity to behave in the most appalling ways.
Leaders are part of the problem, but the dysfunction of the enviro-socio-economic system is another part.

BAD ... Hunger
Maybe as many as 2 billion people go to bed hungry every day.
Maybe as many people in wealthy societies waste food every day.
There is also waste throughout the food supply chain for no good reason.
The food industry has optimized for profit over the years rather than optimizing for maximum food value for people (everyone) and doing least damage to the environment.

BAD - People
Some people will do anything to get and maintain power and wealth without considering the impact on others. Most people are not like this, but there are too many people in positions of power that make life3 miserable for others. BAD people need to be held accountable.

BAD - Business
Many managers have been trained how to maximize profit no matter what by high profile business schools. This means that these companies ignore the negative impact that their operations have on everything except the ownership class. Wealth creation for owners at the expense of everything else can have very undesirable results, and these results can be observed in many remote places where the company is not going to get caught.

BAD - Business Metrics that Ignore Externalities
Conventional accounting is very powerful, and has been at the core of corporate performance metrics for decades. While it is good for optimizing profit, it ignores all externalities, and this is now very important, and will be increasingly important in the future. Other metrics like prices on capital markets measure financial wealth for an ownership class. Finally GDP growth is a metric that makes it easy to increase profits and corporate wealth, but ignores everything else, including damage to the environment and society as a whole.
